I am watching this with the sound off, so it is interesting to read the closed captions. Mr. Dore cites a 45 second clip of Ron Paul declaring that the FBI is used to spy on and prosecute domestic opponents of established American governmental foreign policy, and it keeps files on individual American dissidents. And he suggests that America could simply go back to having crimes investigated and prosecuted by individual state justice departments. That is not what I would call a comprehensive or coherent argument for dissolving the FBI. It is right up there with saying that because any single police department overstepped its authority or wrongfully investigated someone for a crime (not even coming to the point of wrongful police killings), that is reason enough for a police department to be abolished.

That's how things like legalized marijuana can happen even though it's against a federal law.
