Do you actually believe the Second Amendment will be repealed?

I don't.

We did make alcohol illegal once through Constitutional amendment. It was called Prohibition. If that can be done, anything can be done.

I can see the Second Amendment getting thrown out, if:

There's a big mass shooting, like a 1,000 dead Americas at an amusement park or beach or concert, etc.

People fired up with the successful Floyd George protests, start pushing for a Constitutional amendment to repeal the Second Amendment.

The states are mostly ran by democrats. States are the ones who vote on the amending the Constitution.

A perfect storm, if you will.

You'd better hurry. A boatload of newbies are buying guns right now, for self defense, in part due to realization of how fragile our "safe" society actually is. I suspect many of these buyers are thinking that the 2A may not be so bad after all.

It doesn't matter how many people own guns if the Second Amendment is removed.

Okay Rich you see what I did?

Yep, messed up the quote function again

Well you blatantly admit to not ready Fledermaus' posts or only partially, why not mine as well?

Because maybe you can say if there's anything worth in them...and sorry to embarrass you, but you do occasionally post some good points

(it's "patently", not "blatantly" Btw)

I can only assume you mean meme.

That's what I said, in response to your post

"I don't understand what "quote meme" means."

You'd like that wouldn't you?

Like what and where for ?

He was so good taxpayers bought him a Nobel Peace Prize.

By all accounts, Trump was upset he wasn't nominated for one:

At least Obama was a winner

How fortunate.

Fortune is that we now have a real Speaker of the House, who'll protect us against Trump

Any idea how many people think yours are worthless and not much more than trolling?

Well that certain poster feels they're of enough worth to keep responding to them, even though I wish he wouldn't

Remember the saying... What goes around comes around.

And like a bad penny, he does, sadly far too frequently

Noneya= none of your damn business.

No need to feel any same in not knowing.

I always wondered about why you persist in making provocative posts on this forum, no matter how many times you are pwnd. It suddenly dawned on me that you work for ATF.

I'm not a citizen so not sure I'm eligible

And I'm not sure when the last time I was "pwnd" [SIC].

You don't sound very sorry

And no it didn't, it just didn't answer the question

It was a non-answer

You should apply to join Trump's script writing team.
Yeah, it answered the question; just not in the way you can comprehend.

Not sure these choices don't violate the 2nd amendment, sort of like a poll tax for voting.

I think voters in the USA should have to pass a written test before being allowed to vote. To many really stupid people voting, not to mention the dead ones.

Yeah, how about a cognitive test, I heard the last 5 questions are really hard...

So you'd get a license for a constitutional right ?

“The Fifteenth Amendment ( Amendment XV) to the United States Constitution prohibits the federal government and each state from denying a citizen the right to vote based on that citizen's " race, color, or previous condition of servitude"

“ Does the Constitution give right to vote?
Voting is an American principle and a basic democratic right that should be protected, promoted, and practiced, which is why many people are surprised to learn that the U.S. Constitution provides no explicit right to vote.”

Nothing in there says there can’t be a test to earn the right to vote.

What if...

1. You have to register each gun, just like you do a car, boat, or motorcycle. It's renewed every so often.

2. You have to have a valid license. To get this license, you have to pass a test. It's periodically renewed as well.

3. You have to undergo a background check.

Would you go through all this or just sell off your guns?

I would conveniently lose them in a boating accident.

Neither.

I don't own any weapons now, although I am seriously considering it for the first time in many, many years.

The reason being that I find myself concerned about the socialist/authoritarian bent of so many of my fellow citizens.

So if I ever finally choose to own a gun, I would do so while also choosing not to obey a single one of those conditions.

So I chose "Other."

If you need some information I am an nra-certified range instructor, I have taught beginners, youth and adults. If you need some information on it please feel free to ask.

One point...

At.least in California there is no requirement to register a car or bike if it is to remain on private property.

Nor is a license required if operated on private property.

Same in Texas. you only have to register a vehicle if you're going to drive it on public streets or a boat if you're going to operate it in public Waters. I remember a couple years I worked as a ranch hand and I drove around in a truck that wasn't registered or inspected.

Yes, an eligible citizen has the right to vote in the USA

"US election laws date back to Article 1 of the Constitution. This gave states the responsibility of overseeing federal elections. Many Constitutional amendments and federal laws to protect voting rights have been passed since then. "

Local news paper, shoppers guide or Armslist, sporting goods, 12 ga pump shotgun, no paperwork if you live in a free state and not a democrat/communist chithole. Thugs don’t sell shotguns, hard to conceal.

If your a female, go with 20 ga, still very good for social work. Cut the barrel down to 20 inches, google how to measure. Anything shorter than 18” is illegal without special permit.

You can buy a second barrel for hunting if you desire. Barrels are easy to change on pump shotguns, delivered through the mail, no problem.

Remington or mossberg, you can’t go wrong.
