Jimmy Butler to Golden State for way too much, imho.
Well, I get GS wants to give Steph and Green one more chance to compete for a title, but that's probably a bridge too far at this point. They probably did overpay, but they're going to have to tear it all down in a few years anyway, so why not?

Good game with SAS and ATL, with Dyson Daniels.
All these trades will have piqued interest in the playoffs, imho.

I’ll agree with Steve Kerr that the trade deadline should be over the ASB.
Three late games, with GSW and SAC on the road in back/backs. And IND/LAC;
Tomorrow has some ugly lines, like TOR +18.5 at OKC and CLE -17.5 at WSH.
Real pros don’t bother with numbers until the playoffs when you know whose playing.

Holmgren set to return for the Thunder.
I was in OKC nine years ago for the D1 wrestling championships.
OKC had KD and Russ, and I commiserated with event staff how OKC would lose them.

Caught the LAC XMSirius version of the IND game last night watching LeBron.
Pacers had a 20-0 run in the 2nd just to tie the game.
While down 5 late in the 4th qtr, the Pacers went on a 19-7 run to end the game.
Haliburton finally played well for a few minutes and Siakam was a beast all game.
(Edit: Pacers Bryant off the bench had a double-double and a PRA of 12-10-4.)
I like clicking on ‘all stats’ to see the +/-.

Boston was steamed at home to a -12.5 favorite before Dallas whooped them all game.
The final score wasn’t indicative of what Kyrie, Gafford and their kids like Christie and Exum did.

Dallas gets what they deserve. The injury bug returns for AD.

AD is a better overall player than Luka is. And this isn't up for debate either.

AD is a two way player - Luka is just an offensive juggernaut. He is lazy and fat on defense.

Mavericks will have a better season than Lakers. Do you want to put a wager on it?

Good thing you didn't take the bet!

Saved by the hammer!

Dark times in Dallas.

They are ejecting fans from games.

Fans are boycotting the team!

And Mark Cuban has spoken:

The all-star game needs to be canceled in the future.

It is a bigger joke each year.

I turned it off, about a minute into the first game. It was already clear these guys were there to do nothing but clown around.

I never turned it on the begin with. Back in the 70s and early 80s, before salaries exploded in sports, the money for the winning teams in the all star games meant something to the players, so they played to win. Now it doesn't and most of the players don't even want to be there.

Lakers just starting at Nuggets.

While AD is dealing with a bruised leg, Luka looked amazing against the Nuggets.

Luka + LeBron on the same court together = maybe the greatest high IQ offense seen on the court.

Definitely NOT worth watching.
Better to watch my team, the world champion CELTICS go for the repeat ;)

You have the absolute best takes,

Las Vegas Mavericks was the payoff for Dallas ownership, imo.
Lakers 77 jerseys were already made.
This latest Lakers giveaway trade will earn tens of billions for the nba etc.

Portland drops from 120/1 to 13/1 today just to play in the playin.
They’ll be heavy dogs the next five games tho as can be seen from this page, after a 15-6 run.

Kyrie’s out for the season, so’s Wemby, and the Suns are a mess.

Lakers > Mavericks

Not even close.

That wasn’t the point of my discussion, which was that Dallas will be out of the playin.

How do you feel about the Lakers covering tonight? Worth a look?

Before the playoffs, these 9-point spreads are dangerous.
New Orleans is healthy, with some good players, and 5-2 after going 0-10.
The Lakers have 5 guys out tonight and the same two ‘green GTD’, the L guys.
So, it’s too early at this moment, and they need Rui and Austin back to win a title.

Overtime: Knicks at Lakers
Overtime is the friend of the over bettor.
So are Luka and LeBron, even with a low score.

LeBron James is a joke.

I feel sorry for his son.

Forcing the Lakers to sign a make-a-wish kid and getting mad at reporters who want to talk about his son.

Your weather vane and/or pendulum on LeBron is a joke.

Methinks lots of sons in this country would love to be Bronny.

‘make-a-wish’ critically ill kid?
Really, man?
Did you criticize Giannis having his brother on the team?
Sports are our happy leisure escape, Bucky.

I’ll tag you in another thread I started about Stephen A.sshole ‘types’ who think they are the sport, like crew chief Scott Foster.

Let’s try to report the news, analyze it, have fun with it, and not try to make it.

Bronny james couldn't even start on a bad usc team.

He doesn't belong in the nba.
