[W: #18] Jesus is GOD (1 Viewer)

Daisy, I'm sorry but how Adam an Eve's bodies were before they sinned is not explicit.
I'm sorry but they were created with perfect human bodies...otherwise they would not be
capable of giving birth to other humans...that is common sense...drop your science fiction mode...

warped view of GOD, CHRIST, the HOLY SPIRIT, HEAVEN, HELL, the 144,000, celebrating, worship, crucifixion, communion, the Archangel Michael, Satan, blood transfusion, the list goes on and on and on
Yes, you do...one that makes no sense...
As long as you enslave yourself to religion, you can never hope to be free if saved at all. CHRIST saves when one realizes who HE is..
Christ is my Leader/Master/Lord/Savior...none other...

Does it not say in Genesis, “I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception. In sorrow thou shalt bring forth children. What changed?
Yes, you do...one that makes no sense...

Christ is my Leader/Master/Lord/Savior...none other...
CHRIST is all the above but you dare not worship HIM. Think about the implications.

It's called discernment...

Think about the implications.
Maybe you should...I'm simply obeying him...

" ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’” Matthew 4:10

Here Jesus is quoting from Deuteronomy 10:20, which used God's name, Jehovah so no doubt Jesus also used God's name, Jehovah...

Holman Christian Standard Bible
You are to fear Yahweh your God and worship Him. Remain faithful to Him and take oaths in His name.

American Standard Version
Thou shalt fear Jehovah thy God; him shalt thou serve; and to him shalt thou cleave, and by his name shalt thou swear.

World English Bible
You shall fear Yahweh your God. You shall serve him. You shall cling to him, and you shall swear by his name.

Literal Standard Version
You fear your God YHWH, you serve Him, and you cleave to Him, and you swear by His Name.

Young's Literal Translation
'Jehovah thy God thou dost fear, Him thou dost serve, and to Him thou dost cleave, and by His name thou dost swear.

Smith's Literal Translation
Jehovah thy God shalt thou fear; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and in his name shalt thou swear.

Peshitta Holy Bible Translated
Stand in awe of LORD JEHOVAH your God and work for him and cleave to him and swear by his name.

Thank you but I do not celebrate Mother's Day for obvious reasons...my kids bring me flowers all year long...just because...

Mother's Day has roots in ancient pagan traditions, particularly in Greek and Roman cultures, where festivals honored mother goddesses like Rhea and Cybele. These celebrations often occurred during springtime, coinciding with the return of fertility and new life. Over time, Christian traditions, like Mothering Sunday, also emerged, but the pagan origins of honoring mothers continue to influence the holiday's significance.

  • Ancient Greek Celebrations:
The ancient Greeks honored Rhea, the mother of the gods, with festivals in the spring, symbolizing nature and fertility.

  • Roman Traditions:
Romans celebrated Cybele, another mother goddess, during the Hilaria festival in mid-March, also in honor of the Great Mother.

Pagan. Living in fear. Do I drink? No... Do I go dancing? Yes --- good exercise. Do I celebrate holidays? Absolutely! I find ways of promoting the LORD JESUS CHRIST and enjoy myself while doing it. Will I visit other churches? Yes. If I find CHRIST there I may return ---- if not I will never darken that door again. This life was meant to spread the Gospel to the world, and not to spend one's evenings sitting listening to Awake and Watchtower dissertations. I will sometimes pray a Bible Studies with others of various backgrounds. I don't apologize for how I pray and I'm certainly not ashamed of my faith. Again, I might learn something and I may share something. The HOLY SPIRIT has ways of taking advantage of opportunities. You will find nothing in the Bible about embarrassing one's religious leaders. CHRIST in fact did it all the time...

Pagan. Living in fear.
No...I obey/love my God and His Son, Jesus Christ 1st and foremost/above anything else in life...that trumps my own personal desires/feelings...that is what disowning yourself means...

“If anyone wants to come after me, let him disown himself and pick up his torture stake and keep following me." Matthew 16:24

Then you dedicate yourself to Jehovah, you choose to become a disciple of Jesus Christ and make the doing of God’s will the most important thing in your life. What will Christian dedication require of you? Jesus said: “If anyone wants to come after me, let him disown himself.” (Matt. 16:24) The Greek phrase translated “let him disown himself” can also be rendered “he must say no to himself.” As a dedicated servant of Jehovah, you will need to say no to anything that conflicts with his will. (2 Cor. 5:14, 15) That includes saying no to “the works of the flesh,” such as sexual immorality. (Gal. 5:19-21; 1 Cor. 6:18) Will such restrictions make your life difficult? Not if you love Jehovah and are convinced that his laws are for your own good. (Ps. 119:97; Isa. 48:17, 18) A brother named Nicholas puts it this way, “You can view Jehovah’s standards either like the bars of a prison that keep you from doing what you want to do or like the bars of a lion cage that protect you from danger.”

The Old Testament identified Yahweh as lord of the Sabbath. In fact, Exodus 20:10 teaches that "the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord [Yahweh] your God [Elohim]"

By claiming to be Lord of the Sabbath again Jesus was clearly claiming to be God

Exodus 20:10
10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates.

The Lord of the Sabbath

Matthew 12:1-8
1
At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry, and they began to pluck heads of grain and to eat.

2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to him, “Look, your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath.”

3 He said to them, “Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, and those who were with him:

4 how he entered the house of God and ate the bread of the Presence, which it was not lawful for him to eat nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests?

5 Or have you not read in the Law how on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath and are guiltless?

6 I tell you, something greater than the temple is here.

7 And if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless.

8 For the Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.”

For scripture is clear. Jesus is GOD.

Even the Jews understood what Jesus was saying.

===================

John 10:32-33 ESV

32 Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone me?”

33 The Jews answered him, “It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.”
Jews regard Jesus as an idol and know there is no original sin in Genesis. Genesis is the moral teaching of man by God the rise of man from the primitive to the evolved human being made in Gods likeness. The fall is CHristian distortion of the true meaning of Genesis which opposes the existence of Jesus

(1Co 15:42) So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
(1Co 15:43) It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
(1Co 15:44) It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
(1Co 15:45) And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
(1Co 15:46) Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
(1Co 15:47) The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
(1Co 15:48) As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
(1Co 15:49) And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

Some simply cannot or will not let go of the flesh for their mind is still carnal. They see "spiritual body" and automatically assume it's speaking of a glorified flesh and bone body, lol. Christ since being given the promise of the HS is not flesh and bones, for we do not have a 'flesh and bone' Christ 'in' us, as He is the firstborn into the inheritance.

(2Co 5:16) Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
(2Co 5:17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
(2Co 5:18) And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
(2Co 5:19) To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Well obviously, "spiritual body" wouldn't be the same human flesh we know of today.
Lol - how can that be......if we're going to be IMMORTAL?

So it says, "spiritual body."
A "body" does not necessarily mean a human body!
Lol - like................... body of water?

I do agree when applied to GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and the HOLY SPIRIT. Fortunately, GOD never intended us to not enjoy the precious life HE has given us. And anyone who would tell you otherwise is wrong. Here is the Biblical proof of what I say:

Ecclesiastes 5:18

Behold, what I have seen to be good and fitting is to eat and drink and find enjoyment in all the toil with which one toils under the sun the few days of his life that God has given him, for this is his lot.

Ecclesiastes 2:24

There is nothing better for a person than that he should eat and drink and find enjoyment in his toil. This also, I saw, is from the hand of God,

Proverbs 17:22

A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

1 Peter 3:10

For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit;

Psalm 16:11

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

John 16:24

Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

Ecclesiastes 3:12-13

I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God's gift to man.

Ecclesiastes 8:15

And I commend joy, for man has nothing better under the sun but to eat and drink and be joyful, for this will go with him in his toil through the days of his life that God has given him under the sun.

Matthew 6:25-34

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. ...

Luke 1:47

And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,

Ecclesiastes 7:14

In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him.

John 10:10

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Psalm 118:24

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Luke 15:7

Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.

Matthew 11:28-30

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Ecclesiastes 9:9-10

Enjoy life with the wife whom you love, all the days of your vain life that he has given you under the sun, because that is your portion in life and in your toil at which you toil under the sun. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might, for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going.

Proverbs 21:20

Precious treasure and oil are in a wise man's dwelling, but a foolish man devours it.

Hebrews 13:5

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

John 8:12

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Proverbs 15:13

A glad heart makes a cheerful face, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is crushed.

1 Corinthians 10:31

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Colossians 3:23

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,

Nehemiah 8:10

Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

James 4:14

Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.

1 John 5:20

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

Ecclesiastes 9:7

Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God has already approved what you do.

Colossians 3:23-24

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

Romans 8:28

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Psalm 37:4

Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

1 Timothy 6:17-19

As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.

Genesis 2:9

And out of the ground the Lord God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Romans 8:2

For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death

Psalm 23:1-6

A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. ...

Ecclesiastes 3:13

Also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God's gift to man.

2 Timothy 1:7

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Ecclesiastes 2:24-26

There is nothing better for a person than that he should eat and drink and find enjoyment in his toil. This also, I saw, is from the hand of God, for apart from him who can eat or who can have enjoyment? For to the one who pleases him God has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, but to the sinner he has given the business of gathering and collecting, only to give to one who pleases God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.

1 John 1:6

If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

Isaiah 55:12

“For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Ecclesiastes 5:18-20

Behold, what I have seen to be good and fitting is to eat and drink and find enjoyment in all the toil with which one toils under the sun the few days of his life that God has given him, for this is his lot. Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil—this is the gift of God. For he will not much remember the days of his life because God keeps him occupied with joy in his heart.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor

1 Peter 3:10-11

For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it.

Ecclesiastes 2:3

I searched with my heart how to cheer my body with wine—my heart still guiding me with wisdom—and how to lay hold on folly, till I might see what was good for the children of man to do under heaven during the few days of their life.

Luke 2:10-11

And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

Zechariah 8:5

And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.

Ecclesiastes 9:7-13

Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God has already approved what you do. Let your garments be always white. Let not oil be lacking on your head. Again I saw that under the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favor to those with knowledge, but time and chance happen to them all. ...

Now, you're sounding just like Satan, teasing/goading Eve into thinking God was withholding something good from her and Adam...my obedience to my God and my Savior comes 1st and rest assured, I'm not being deprived of a single thing worthwhile in this life or that to come, so don't worry about me...

"Therefore, if you, although being wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more so will your Father who is in the heavens give good things to those asking him!" Matthew 7:11

GOD informed Adam what not to do. Satan told Eve that GOD didn't mean what HE said and also added that she could be like GOD. None of this is what I told you. I can and do ask questions in Sunday school and during Bible study. You certainly may do as you wish. Please don't infer that because I enjoy Christmas and Resurrection Sunday (also known as Easter) that GOD is somehow mad at me. Yours are your choices and mine are mine. GOD isn't upset. And there are no passages of scripture that tell us not to drink coffee... These are purely religious choices. GOD only condemns those that fail to worship CHRIST.

lol...so don't tell me I have to worship God's Son, when he himself said...

Jesus was obviously talking about his Father, Jehovah, because Jesus was being tempted/tried, which is impossible for Satan to do to God...

"For with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does he himself try anyone." James 1:13

Jesus was obviously talking about his Father, Jehovah, because Jesus was being tempted/tried, which is impossible for Satan to do to God...

"For with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does he himself try anyone." James 1:13
Satan tempted JESUS in the wilderness to test the SON of MAN's humanity and obedience, not to challenge the MESSIAH's divinity.

It is because HE is human, and made like us in every way, that He could do three vital things: 1) destroy the devil’s power and free those who were held in slavery by their fear of death (Hebrews 2:15); 2) become a merciful and faithful High Priest in service to GOD and atone for our sins (Hebrews 2:17); and 3) be the One who is able to sympathize with us in all our weaknesses and infirmities (Hebrews 4:15). Our LORD's human nature enables HIM to sympathize with our own weaknesses, because HE was subjected to weakness, too. More importantly, we have a High Priest who is able to intercede on our behalf and provide the grace of forgiveness.

Temptation is never as great as when one has made a public declaration of faith as did our LORD when HE was baptized in the Jordan (Matthew 3:13–17). However, we also note that, during this time of exhaustive testing, our LORD was also ministered to by angels, a mystery indeed that the omnipotent One should condescend to receive such help from lesser beings! Here is a beautiful description of the ministry that HIS people also benefit from. During times of testing and trial, we too are aided by angels who are ministering spirits sent to those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14).

JESUS’ temptations follow three patterns that are common to all men. The first temptation concerns the lust of the flesh (Matthew 4:3–4). Our LORD is hungry, and the devil tempts HIM to convert stones into bread, but HE replies with Scripture, quoting Deuteronomy 8:3. The second temptation concerns the pride of life (Matthew 4:5–7), and here the devil uses a verse of Scripture (Psalm 91:11–12), but the LORD replies again with Scripture to the contrary (Deuteronomy 6:16), stating that it is wrong for HIM to abuse HIS OWN powers. The third temptation concerns the lust of the eyes (Matthew 4:8–10), and if any quick route to the Messiahship could be attained, bypassing the passion and crucifixion for which HE had originally come, this was the way. The devil already had control over the kingdoms of the world (Ephesians 2:2) but was now ready to give everything to CHRIST in return for HIS allegiance. But the mere thought almost causes the LORD's divine nature to shudder at such a concept and HE replies sharply, “You shall worship the LORD your GOD and serve HIM only” (Deuteronomy 6:13).

There are many temptations that we sadly fall into because our flesh is naturally weak, but we have a GOD who will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear; HE will provide a way out (1 Corinthians 10:13). We can therefore be victorious and then will thank the LORD for deliverance from temptation. JESUS’ experience in the desert helps us to see these common temptations that keep us from serving GOD effectively. Furthermore, we learn from JESUS’ response to the temptations exactly how we are to respond—with Scripture. The forces of evil come to us with a myriad of temptations, but all have the same three things at their core: lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. We can only recognize and combat these temptations by saturating our hearts and minds with the Truth. The armor of a Christian solider in the spiritual battle of life includes only one offensive weapon, the sword of the SPIRIT which is the WORD of GOD (Ephesians 6:17). Knowing the Bible intimately will put the Sword in our hands and enable us to be victorious over temptations. As presented in https://www.gotquestions.org/Jesus-temptations.html

So, Paul lied...got it...

There is the OT and the NT. The big 3 which you mentioned is called the Trinity by some and others may view it as God and his two subordinates. It can be spun many ways……but it seems the OT God only wished the good life for his chosen people. The 10 Commandments were addressed exclusively to the Israelites….nobody else. There is no mention of eternal life or the Holy Spirit in the OT. This period lasted 4,000 years from Adam to Jesus. God changes with the coming of Jesus and John 3:16 informs us “that for God so loved the world”. Suddenly the whole world becomes of interest for God and with the glorification of Jesus the Holy Spirit was released and at this moment eternal life became possible……this was revolutionary in nature demonstrating a love that was no longer exclusive to a chosen few even though they themselves had never had a doorway to eternal life. For example Deuteronomy 5:33 tells us that the reward of obeying the 10 Commandments is that “you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess”…..essentially a material reward…certainly not a spiritual reward…..

Witnesses may twist every bit of scripture to their liking ----- but Paul was inspired by the HOLY SPIRIT whether you like it or not. And CHRIST is KING and due all our worship and adoration for everything HE has ever done in an effort to save those that do.
