Also, Texas could perhaps try to charge people with trespassing....except like I pointed out this will cost an incredible amount of money and tax the legal system....

Also, Texas cannot force ICE to take custody of any immigrant that is not charged with serious felonies....if ICE refuses, then what? Texas cannot deport anyone and does not have authority to process deportations. You cannot hold someone forever for what is a very low level offense....a minor misdemeanor...trespass...especially if you don't have a victim.

So, if Abbott arrests someone for trespass, but ICE refuses to take custody of them???? The state cannot force ICE to deport someone....nor can they force how they will enforce immigration law..
