[W: #1682, 1830]Texas Says It Can Enforce Immigration Restrictions. Texas Is Right

Why does it matter to you? Show me the map of Gov't owned land in TX?

LMAO... Reality sinking in yet... The Trump administration used eminent domain to secure lots and lots of land for the wall.... That is now federal land.....

It makes sense that people who can't afford to live there move out of California, and people who can, move in. However, a state needs a bottom as well as a top. Will wages rise enough for low skilled workers to have a decent quality of life? Can the housing market provide decent moderately priced housing for them?
Oh I understand they need both...it will mean more aggressive recruiting that will draw those same people back to the state, in the end...or others that are looking for higher wages.

Post where the people of TX have chosen not to build the wall?
Now you are backpedaling. You are the one who asserted that the people of Texas decide what public services they want. As such, it is up to you to show when they affirmatively approved building this wall.

It’s absurd to think the onus is on me to show where they didn’t approve it. The people of Texas didn’t approve sending a rocket to Pluto either but nobody can show a vote I it, or an infinite number of other things they don’t want to do either.

don't care....live within your means and pay your own way..it should be quite easy....you need no more per person than California does per person....but you aren't paying but 1/3 per person what California does per person.....so it doesn't matter if you have only 10 people as we are talking PER PERSON

You do know the BIGGEST TAKER STATE is New Mexico(BLUE) right?

already did. Your favorite source

Texas Governor Greg Abbott sent a letter to President Joe Biden on Wednesday demanding the return of border property seized by the federal government for building a wall. The letter follows the governor’s pledge for Texas to build its own wall systems.

why would he be demanding return of federal property if it did not belong to the feds?
And I just posted the map of federal owned land, why such hatred for TX and Republicans?

We will see in the next election just like we saw in the last election, TX remains Red, why should TX turn blue?

The problems at the border have been there for 40 years? So why is that I wonder?
The 'problems' at the border didn't start until we started them. We used to welcome folks into america during harvest time and we called them migrant workers. Now we call them illegal aliens and some want to see nothing more than to see these people locked up.

Alright, start listing all the other 49 states that can pay their own way due to FED mandates?

I'll wait?
New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Colorado, Nebraska, Minnesota.....shall I keep on? Colorado has a small population as does Nebraska and Minnesota.

The difference in housing between Texas and California is that in California people want to live near the urban hubs and due to geography, those hubs have limited space to expand. San Francisco is nearly surrounded by water and has mountains on the outskirts. The result is high demand for real estate and high prices.

In Texas, they have sprawl. Cheaper areas move outward keeping a check on prices.

#1 BIGGEST taker state is(Drum roll please)

NEW MEXICO

We don't need to talk about 49 states...but I did point out those paying their fair share...ironically most are blue states...except one. Tell me, since you claim it is because you are a small state...why can Colorado pay their fair share, but Idaho cannot?

yep, and ? How many of those big takers are red states...drum roll...you are trying to get out of explaining why Idaho cannot pay its fair share...yes, New Mexico should also pay its fair share....but you were needling California, who ironically does pay their fair share and then some.

prices are on the rise in Texas...in areas such as Houston, Dallas and Austin, rent can be quite expensive now..not as expensive as California, but expensive compared to wages there.

You do know the middle class/working poor are fleeing CALIF just because of that right?

(SIGH)

Oh I see, you like to single out the RED state of Idaho instead and poo poo the BIGGEST taker BLUE New Mexico?

Got it!

yes, and the wealthy are fleeing to the state. So, California will have to attract working poor...by paying higher wages...that is of course the private industry that will have to do that. California is going to be just fine...Texas, I am not so sure about....industry is going to flee Texas if Abbott cannot keep electricity running.

I thought DEMOCRATS are for the little guy and middle class and the REPUBLICANS are for the rich?

Republicans can't do nothing to stop the DEMOCRAT Calif Legislators(wink) So why on earth hasn't this happen already?

Don't you love capitalism? They will have to pay more to attract the workers they want...sending more revenue into the coffers helping them grow even more...
