The bite scene starts at 43:16 in the video.

They should have shot the tourist (not being serious for you Righties).

Seems to me it was the tourist who got in the horses face and deserved to be bitten!

Like idiots here in America that go to Yellowstone and try to chummy up with wild bison, for a good vacation photo, then get trampled.

What livestock did this little puppy ever kill? Who did the dog bite? According to Noem, the dog turned and seemed as if it was going to bite her. She likely deserved it.

You will never change the criticism this woman is getting over this savage episode. It's gone international. People love their pets. You'll never change that.

She knew there would be a backlash from the left. But did it for Trump's sake to demonstrate to him that she's not opposed to using violence against his enemies. By using her dog murder story, she's promoting herself as his pick for vice president. She's sending a clear message that she would support putting children in cages, building a moat on the southern border and stocking it with alligators, shooting people, including children, at the border, hang people and physically eliminate political opponents. Trump wants a savage for his VP, not a milquetoast like Mike Pence. He wants a VP that will go along with whatever he orders.

people do love their pets, internationally they eat dogs and cats and horses too .... I'm sorry, what was the point there ?

but I agree, here political career is over. She's not my state, I don't care one way or the other about Noem. I just know killing a dog isn't BY FAR the worst thing people can do. Its just a dog - perspective matters

Maybe chickens are livestock. But it was a puppy. Likely thought he was playing with the chickens.

Think of it this way. The dog was her children's friend and pet. I am sorry, but Noem had many other options. She chose the cowardly way out. The tough girl.
To me, she's just an ignorant MAGA freak.

dead chickens are dead chickens ... every dog I've ever seen killing chickens LOVED doing it - doesn't make it a good thing. Fun killing dog isn't a good dog ... there are a couple around one of my properties that fun kill fawns ....

Some people say giving a dog to someone else to put down is the cowardly way out.
 
The real question is why did Kristi Noem put this in her book in the first place? What purpose did it serve?

So, IYO, her only option was to kill the dog? That's where we differ. She could have taken it to an adoption shelter or given it to another family who would have loved the dog.

no, I think she had options, she chose to kill the dog .... and i question that however, wasn't my dog AND it was just a dog
