This is the barely coherent and grammatically inept speech of a man who desperately wants to be able to claim that he "cured coronavirus."

That's it, in a nutshell. When we do get a handle on this crisis, he wants to be able to pull out footage and declare "I called it! I said use this! I said try this! I told them to do this, it was my idea!" He's just doing it with lots of stupid stuff because he doesnt want to miss an opportunity. He's afraid 'the big one' will be mentioned and he wont get credit for it.

It's all about declaring himself the savior of the cv crisis and we'll hear all about it, esp in his campaign. (Which is basically each of his press briefings these days) --- Lursa

The WH has never been honest about fat donny's health. From Ronny Jackson lying about his weight to the time where tweety was rushed to the doctor and the administration lied about the reason - you can count on their not being honest about mango menace's covid.

Forcing people to wear a mask is silly and wrong. Imagine if a country forced people to wear a hijab in public.
 
Hard to say. They won't be able to hide it if he takes 2 weeks off; best thing would be to pull a Boris Johnson and turn it into a PR thing.

But he's probably had it already and no symptoms. There's a better than even chance of that.

It'll be like Chernobyl. They'll cover it up for days until word gets out in a way that will be impossible to cover up.
 
It depends on how bad it will be for him.

If it amounts to the flu, he can be eased back from public appearances and trotted out every now and again and lie to the people that he doesn't have it.

If COVID-19 forces Trump into hospital care, the WH would have to transfer duties to Pence, which would be made public.

BTW, given that many presidents over the years have lied about ailments, or downplayed them and in some cases outright lie...I won't get bent out of shape if the first instance happens. Personally, I hate it that he lies over the dumbest things, but I think it would be hypocritical to give him crap on this specific case given the presidential history of the US.

If it would help keep people alive, I'd be ordering my hijab from Amazon.
 
They'd keep it under wraps until they figured out how symptomatic he would become. If he had to go to the ICU, they would tell us.

I'll be out later today wearing a mask. All 6'1" and 230lbs. of me. Too bad you don't live closer or you could show up and tease me about being a woman. I'd like that.

Why do you call him "The Donald"? As far as I know the only person who ever used that term to refer to him was his first wife.

To the OP, why should he? Presidents have traditionally concealed health problems. President Grover Cleveland concealed the fact that he had cancer and had surgery for it while in office. In fact he only told one of his cabinet members at that time at the insistence of the surgeon. The surgery was performed on a yacht owned by a friend of the president.

None of this was revealed until YEARS after Cleveland left office.

They'll be just as honest about it as they are with his height and weight and everything else. I'm actually starting to think they hope he catches it. They definitely aren't taking proper precautions. And after a lifetime of drug abuse, being obese, elderly etc he likely wouldn't make it through it. Wouldn't surprise me if most people in the white house would prefer Pence as president.
 
Not that this would be a deal breaker for Trump, but isnt it a crime for the admin to lie about the presidents health? I know he has to get check ups from armed forces personnel and they have to report findings.
 
They will probably have to, one way or the other. Vice President Pence will have to step in.

It would be tough to do that because anyone near him would have to be seriously masked. And they've all been avoiding that so far.

As for 'hospital care,' they would just provide that 'in-house' but they'd still have to explain his disappearance. OMG wouldnt The Donald be loathe to even have them consider transferring power to Pence? Of course at that point he wouldnt have the choice.
