Nonsense. Considering the thousands of hours of testimony, and the millions of pages of documents, and the hundreds of prosecutions and convictions resulting from Jan 6th 2020 by the Justice Department, all of which necessarily played a role in preparation for this investigation, it's amazing the committee was able to finish before the midterms. If there had been less obstruction of their efforts, we might have come to this point way back in June, or earlier. If it turns out to be favorable timing for the Democrats, there's nobody to blame but the stonewalling Republicans.

Yes. It is true that the endless delaying tactics of trump and his henchmen contributed to the timeline being what it is. Trump’s standard legal tactic for everything is to delay and obfuscate.

But I think it would be hard to argue that issuing the Trump subpoena on the very day that Bannon is sentenced for committing the same crime is a coincidence!
 
If it was a little softer paper he would be using it to wipe his ass, but it isn't soft so he will use it for something like lighting a cigar or something.

Some of us think an attack on our nation's capitol and understanding what happened that day, and what lead to it, is important. I'm interested in what the evidence shows. And since I've actually watched the hearings, I've seen the evidence and it is compelling.

You haven't watched the hearings, you're just flailing on a political message board, so which one of us is really more interested in a political narrative?
 
The FPOTUS won't testify.

He'll make social media claims about full cooperation.

However behind the scenes there with be "negotiations" and delays. With the GOP very likely to take the House in January after the elections he and the House leadership will make sure the committee doesn't exist in the new Congress.

The BLM riots were far worse attack on our country. People were killed. Buildings and livlihoods destroyed. Billions in damages. Give me a break with your fake outrage over what happened at the Capitol.

They’d need the senate and the presidency to get anything done. Otherwise it’s just going to be more stagnation. At this point I’d be happy to give them a couple more years of obstruction. I’d like to give the MAGA’s a couple more years of news coverage. That’s good for Democrats, both big and small “d” democrats.

It’s funny to watch the Republican party implode under their own weight. Sometimes I think Dem strategists invented the big lie, and fed it to the MAGA’s in order to crush the Pubs once and for all.

I think you may be underestimating how the power of subpoena and testimony compelled under oath may enlighten Hunter Biden's (and thus possibly Joe Biden's) finances. The GOP only need control the House to begin such and investigation.

The BLM riots were illegal. People were prosecuted and jailed or fined, and are continuing to be. The BLM protests were legal and powerful.

An attempt to overturn an election by force is something different. It was a poorly orchestrated plan that employed a large group of useful idiots.
