The situation in Israel right now is really bad, as Hamas terrorists have infiltrated the South-West of Israel and killed several hundred civilians in a surprise 9/11 or Pearl Harbor style terror attack and launched 5000 rockets into Israel :(

The videos on social media are really bad.

They show hundreds of Muslim terrorists from Gaza breaking border barriers and killing Israeli soldiers, ripping them out of their patrol cars and tanks, slitting their throats and beating their dead bodies and dragging them through Gaza.

The same with civilians in Israel: numerous Muslim terror squads have infiltrated Israeli cities and they are hunting down Israelis in their houses, shooting them dead and slitting their throats.

Israel’s police estimate that there are 60 militants inside the country at the moment, Haaretz reports. Fighting is ongoing.

Israel’s death toll now stands at 22. Not the several hundred you claim.

Nah, the Israeli authorities don't even know yet what's going on in the South-East in the full extent, because the Hamas terror units are still roaming through the Israeli cities there and butchering Israelis ...

America should stay out of it and prohibit all support. Theres no good guys in that part of the world.
I disagree with the ´'no good guys' bit. There are some, they are called Israelis.

What the USA does - or does not do - is a matter for that country. The EU Foreign Affairs Commissioner has condemned Hamas and said that the EU stands with Israel. Good.

Austria historically has had good relations with both Israel and Palestinians (after killing 6 million Jews during WW2).

In recent years though, sentiment in Austria became very much pro-Israel though, especially among rightwing parties such as ÖVP, FPÖ (Nazi successor party) and NEOS. The left-wing parties SPÖ and Greens are evenly split between Israel and Palestinians, with a smaller fringe left wing supporting Palestinians (= they think Israel is an occupation force).

Also, many Austrians are very anti-Muslim these days. Or better said: have always been rather anti-Muslim.

So how do you know? Israel estimates 60 Hamas fighters have entered, so how exactly do you know these 60 people have butchered many hundreds of Israelis but Israel has the current death toll at 22.
How do do 60 people even manage to slit the throats of many hundreds of people in a heavily armed society?

I don't know what the actual number of victims in Israel is ... but it is unlikely that there are just 22 victims so far, considering the size of the surprising terror attack.

i have just read it!

Most terrible!

:(

Will be interesting watching conservatives come to Israelis aid but, not Ukraines. The principle that it’s not our fight will fly out the window.

As reports become available, we do well to remember the phrase, 'The fog of war', and wait for better information to become available.

Terrorists or freedom fighters resisting illegal occupation? Let's not forget that nuclear-armed Israel has been systematically annexing disputed territory since 1948; driving Arabs out of their villages, herding them into walled ghettos, massacring them, building 'settlements' on land that doesn't belong to Israel. These are the actions of a fascist state, and any criticism of Israel's activities is met with the predictable accusations of anti-Semitism.
But of course the propaganda has been relentless in painting Israel as the oppressed victim, with very little heard from the Palestinians who are the real victims here.

What I have seen is beyond horrific and my eyes do not lie. I will never support the deliberate targeting and murder of civilians.

This is not freedom fighting. Targeting non combatants is not freedom fighting. This is terrorism and murder and it is evil.

The blood of Israeli and Palestinian civilians that are now going to be destroyed are on the hands of Hamas and the other factions involved.

And of course this doesn't count as terrorism:

My husband's extended family lives in the area of Ashkelon, Israel, which is the focus of most of the television news. Ashkelon used to be the city (a small one) close to the village of Sderot. In recent years Sderot has grown and is famous for being the main target of rocket attacks from Gaza. I have no news yet from family about what it is like on the ground in southern Israel. While Sderot was under constant rocket attack a few years ago, sirens went off constantly in that city as people took refuge in underground shelters and, sometmes, in the safe room every house was required to have.

The Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has continued a crusade in favor of authoritarianism that the Israeli people have opposed with mass demonstrations in the streets. Netanyahu is an ally of Donald Trump and has tried to wrest power from the people and centralize it in himself.

Israel is rightly criticized for many of its police actions and its overreactions, but Hamas are not the good guys. They are not freedom fighters. Their reason to exist is to deliberately antagonize Israel and baiting them into armed conflict.

What else can Hamas do? Any attempts at peace negotiations with Israel are met with completely unacceptable preconditions to talks, which naturally benefit Israel at the expense of the Palestinians. Here's Netanyahu, cynically bragging about deliberately derailing the Oslo Accords and manipulating America:

Hamas is not interested in peace. They want Netanyahu in power because he gives them what they want, which is more war. I'm not a defender of the Likud, either. But Hamas isn't a pro-peace organization.
