[W: #1063] 2024 Presidential Election night discussion

100% right and I don't know what is worse. 1.) that the posters here DON'T know that this conviction is for the same entry 34 times of an extortion payment that had nothing to do with the election and the judge said that all the jury had to do is ASSUME it was OT that is was to hide some crime and the jury didn't have to agree on what the felony (if any) was, or...............

2.) Worse yet that these posters DO know this and still want to say Trump committed 34 separate felonies but don't know what the felonies are.

They are 34 separate felonies, committed over the course of the year.

Did you know that under American law you cannot call someone a felon until they've been sentenced??
Its true.
So technically Trump is not a convicted felon

My understanding is Trump is convicted and awaiting sentencing.

I'm willing to entertain credible cites to the contrary, but a simple Google search seems to bring a plethora of citation supporting my position.

Look. A simple Google of "Trump Felon", lists a plethora of hits stating otherwise.

Here's a couple from the first page of results:

You seem to be a distinction without a difference. If you chose to not call him a convicted felon, that's your choice. But the rest of society chooses to call it like it is.
