VP Harris's Book as a Measure of Her Cluelessness

Reports from former VP Harris's forthcoming book only serve to demonstrate how, from a political standpoint, she remains incompetent.

To highlight this, consider these two passages from a WSJ article (paywall) on her book.

So, she tells us she believed the polling data indicated weaknesses in Biden's record that were material enough they needed to be sugarcoated, yet once she replaced Biden on the ticket she was thoroughly unprepared in a high states, yet friendly, media interview to discuss what she might do differently than Biden? That is campaign malpractice.

Perhaps more than any other single reason, Donald Trump is President today because for a running mate Joe Biden picked a head of lettuce in 2020.
 

Parroting Trump with the racist low-IQ insult for Black women.
 
Harria lost BECAUSE Americans will not elect a woman president.

Nicki Haley is a perfect example. She ran against Trump while he was a convicted felon, twice impeached, and under indictment for treasonous crimes, and she was thoroughly trounced in the primaries.

The only way a woman will become US president is through the line of succession. The sooner the Democrats learn this, the sooner they can start looking for a viable candidate.

This photo was taken in mid-August, and the ill-fated interview on The View was from early October. Harris literally campaigned on doing something "New." It was such in important part of her message it was distilled into a campaign slogan and presented to us in four foot high letters as she spoke. Yet, nearly two months later, with more than ample time for her to refine her message, when asked she couldn't think of a single "new" thing she would do.

That's just a special kind of professional stupid.
 
You shouldn't discount the reality she was professionally incompetent.

My democrat friends lament over Harris' loss last year, and try to search for reasons how this could happen. When pointed out that Harris demonstrated her incompetence in her only professional executive role to stem the flood of illegal immigrants, their eyes glaze over. It just doesn't register.

"I’ve asked [Kamala] … to lead our efforts with Mexico and the Northern Triangle and the countries that help — are going to need help in stemming the movement of so many folks, stemming the migration to our southern border," - Joe Biden March 2021.

Kamala was a huge failure, and failed in her task assigned by Biden. Illegal Immigration skyrocketed, and American voters understood how incompetent the woman was and likely would have voted for Donald Duck over Kamala.

I don't dare say this to my democrat friends.

Who? Nicki Haley? She was appointed UN ambassador by Trump. Only the best people, remember? Later of course, he referred to his pick as a "birdbrain." Only the best birdbrains, I guess.
 
Eh, this is her chance to put her side out there. I kinda appreciate the honesty and let’s be real, she wants to make money off this book (which is totally legit) so she’d want it to appeal to as many people as possible, not just her “side.”
 
I'll say this for Harris, it wasn't like she was dealt a good hand. And considering how truly awful her 2020 campaign was (not even making it to the Iowa Caucuses), I suppose her 2024 campaign wasn't that bad by Presidential race standards. Judging by electoral votes, she did better than Romney, McCain, and Dole. She obliterated the performances of Dukakis, Mondale, and 1980 Jimmy Carter. Though it can be argued Harris's respectable electoral vote showing says more about Trump.
 
I think she's making money while she can. No harm in that, but I wouldn't laude her for it.
 
So far I'm loving the excerpts that have come out of her book. They reveal a lot about what is going on in the democrat party, confusion, lies, division, and the worst of it is it's having terrible effects on the nation as they continue to obstruction and fuel divisions within the country and not just within their party.
I really love the admission by Kamala that she didn't want Walz, but Buttigeig, and she couldn't go there because he was gay. That's revealing about the democrats isn't it. Currently we are seeing a widening rift in the democrat party because of the battle between Harris and Biden being exposed.

Yes, all things considered (incompetence with stemming immigration, late entry to the race, abbreviated campaign) Kamala did unexpectedly well in the election. It should have been a landslide victory for Trump.
 
Kinda ironic. Biden chose Harris for the color of her skin and being a female. I wonder if he wrote a book if he would dare to admit who he really would have liked to have picked, like she did about Walz vs Buttigieg.

Trump wrote several.
In both cases I never bothered reading them.

So, umm, what is the point here? Just curious.
 
In this book she is pretty much alienating almost everyone on her side and, of course, she is already alienated with those on the other side. If she's doing all this to make a buck, fair enough. She wouldn't be the first. But, if she's actually thinking about running in 2028, alienating a bunch of people on her own side isn't the best strategy.
 

So what? And it's very doubtful she's running in 2028.
 
I think her chances at the Democratic nomination are almost zero. If there is a path, it's winning the CA governor's race and doing a good job while in office, but I think the chances of her doing a good job are quite remote.
 
She's probably sincere, but that's really not the point. She still doesn't understand why she lost. It wasn't a lack of time, as she asserts in her book. It was that she allowed herself to be defined as a continuation of Joe Biden, a President who was deeply unpopular at the time, even before his cognitive impairment was laid bare in the debate.
 
You have to remember the amount of loyalty expected at the top. She believed in that, and unfortunately it harmed her campaign.
