Voters say they’re worse off after four years ofObama, so why is Romney struggling?
.By Chris Moody, Yahoo! News 9/19/2012
In the twilight ofPresident Barack Obama's first term, many polls, including a new QuinnipiacUniversity tri-state survey of likely voters, show that most Americans say theyare not better off than they were four years ago. But in those same polls, the presidentretains his edge over challenger Mitt Romney.
That's not normal, says Quinnipiac University pollster Peter A. Brown.
"Most times ifvoters think things haven't gone well, they say, 'Let's think of somebodyelse.' But at this point they're not saying that," Brown said."Clearly they think [Obama] is more in tune with their lives."

Yes, I do.
The reason Romney is struggling is because the Democrats, with the help of the media, have been very effective with their campaign of distraction.

Don't trust a Mormon.
You're right lets stick to straight forward questions. For example Romney proposes increasing and maintaining defense spending at 4% of GDP, it is certainly at 3.5% of GDP just for comparison, I'd like to ask Mr. Romney where he'll find the extra money to increase defense spending without increasing the debt, I'm assuming this will mean cut backs in government as he won't raise taxes. So what programs will he cut to come up with this extra money?

I don't like him, but right now I think Santorum was better choice. He can at least relate to the common man, and he is not potrayed as a rich lying asshole. The fault lies in the fact that you picked a lousy candidate, he was the best of a bad bunch... and the GOP primary was a BAD bunch (except Huntsman).
Is that the same reason John Kerry lost? Or was the media not as effective then? Is the media like a Pokemon? Is it only very effective in some scenarios?

You know, I don't think Kerry enjoyed the same adoration or assistance from the media that Obama has been getting. Too bad for him, eh?
Anyway, your attempt to deflect to Kerry to dispute a point I didn't make kind of fell flat on it's face, didn't it?
Many good suggested explanations in this thread. I'm going to go with all of the above.

Classic Conservative Victim/Perscution Complex.

At the end of the day, whether you like it or not, a candidate has to have some likeablity, some charisma and be able to connect with voters, Mitt Romney doesn't have these things.
Sorry, but coming up with an imaginary disorder won't succeed in disputing my opinion.
Your opinion?
I'm sorry I think you mean your excuse...
It's already lined up.
If Romney loses, the GOP doesn't have to take responsibility for nominating a lousy candidate... why take personal responsibility n when you can just blame the media!
Now I think Romney can still win this thing... but you won't find me making excuses on election night like some will that he "bought the election".
But I'll probably find you blaming the media and bitching about how they weren't fair towards Romney if he loses.
But time will tell.
