Delight? I just find this whole thing humorous. Did you read every one of my posts? I was stunned that MSNBC labeled this "breaking news." WTF? I am surprised that the New York Times put this story on its front page, and I am not remotely surprised that people are disgusted by this. I am going to read the story in full later today to see how credible the whole thing is and how newsworthy this really is.

I wouldn't call my feeling as being that of "delight." But it is somewhat enjoyable to watch the Repubs and cons react to this news.

Well it did all make me chomp my gum a little harder. But honestly at this point this is one of the funnest election years ever. A woman, An African American, and the world's oldest horny man! What's not to like? Entertainment all around.

Old news, new story? What is the NYT doing? First they endorse him, then they bring this up? Did they endorse him to hurt him? or to help him? What are they attempting now?

Newspapers should report the news, not make the news, and when they bring up 8 year old stuff at this stage of the game, they are making the news and attempting to influence the outcome of an election.

If McCain is single when he dips his wick, it matters little. BUt when he cheats on his wife, that is a bit different. Does it change his ability to lead? No. Doesn't enhance it, either.

John dumped his first wife because she was ill and somewhat invalid and Cindy was younger and a better time in the sack, and lest we forget, RICH and therefore could help him in politics. It was a sleazy act, but the NYT is far sleazier.

I doubt he would cheat on Cindy. She has the money, not him. I wonder, was there a prenuptial agreement?

Maybe there's like some unwritten rule that says if you were a prisoner of war we'll overlook your more debauched tendencies.

Either way, I'm torn. On the one hand I feel like perhaps the damage is done now and the best we can do is hope for juicy details. I mean Clinton had cigars, altoids, ect and for weeks the newspaper read like one of my cheesy hot novels with the embarrassing covers. Is McCain's scandal going to provide the same level of entertainment? Do I secretly hope so? The only thing better would be if Obama agrees to have Hilary as his running mate and the two of them start spending too much time together. An angry Michelle Obama. I bet that would be a sight to see! She doesn't seem like the stand by her man type. More like the rip off his balls and toss them out the car window type.

Oh the excitement in the air.

uuuh, you believe they did what? They merely made the suggestion that he may have. Kind of like making the suggestion that the WTC may have been brought down in a controlled demolition and before you know it thousands believe, just upon the mere suggestion of what might be.

And I find it particularly funny the Republicans are the ones who are anti-homosexual, anti-cheating, morals.. blah blah blah... but take a look at them in current times.. how many of them have been caught in sex stings? How many of them have been caught cross dressing? It seems as though the right is going for circus status, everyone gets a fair bit of enjoyment out of them. :)

What was McCain's status on Bill Clinton when that whole thing went over?

My question exactly. I'm sure mcCain was right up there with his righteous indignation along with all the other good ole hypocrites going after President Clinton. Your being HAD, again, people. Of course, this latest is a non- story to the mccain supporters - :roll:- but they can never forget about clinton's bj, can they?
 
I heard McCain talk about the story, on CSPAN, but his denial was not really specific. He just said there was nothing to the story, and that he was not influenced by the lobbyist. McCain did not say, Passion never came up for him, or what limits of passion he restrained.

Can you imagine how fun it would be if Hilary really has a lesbian lover who comes forth with their shared sex toys AND it turns out that hillbilly doughboy on youtube saved some of Obama's sperm on his trousers from back in 1999?

What would Americans do? I thought a woman, an African American, and and a really really old guy was interesting but I see we've got so much more we could be tapping into for amusement. Deep down don't you all think it would be better if McCain was not just 71 but a walking Viagra ad still chasing skirt, and Obama wasn't just African American but also gay, and Hilary wasn't just a woman, but a lesbian!

The armageddon crowd would just go nuts.
