Trump needs to demand accountability for the money, and where it is going.More than two months after Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump claimed to have raised $6 million for veterans' charities at a fundraiser held on the eve of the Iowa caucuses, most of the organizations targeted to receive the money have gotten less than half of that amount.
The Wall Street Journal, citing a survey of the 22 groups listed by Trump's campaign as prospective recipients for the money, reported that 19 organizations had obtained a total of $2.4 million from Trump's foundation or associates.
Of the three other charities, one declined to disclose how much it had received, another said it needed to submit more paperwork before receiving any money, and the third didn't respond to questions by the Journal.

(throwing away my glasses, because I have seen it all now)
Yes, I agree with you...a communist.
If Trump is going to say he did it, then he needs to PROVE he did it.

Do you really think Trump manages the charity? Don't be silly. He needs to demand accountability from... himself?
As someone highly suspicious of Trump, I suspect there isn't much to this. The organization may have received pledges of $6 million, that does not mean they have collected $6 million yet.
I also do get the impression that he does usually care about his charity work.

I think that money tends to stick to him in ways that it shouldn't, that he has a long history of defrauding his business partners, defrauding customers, and extremely shady practices.
Visbek might be correct, and it hasn't been collected. But I would be equally unastonished to find that he just kept it.
7 April, 2016: The Veterans Affairs–scandal headlines speak for themselves. The Daily Beast: “Veteran Burned Himself Alive outside VA Clinic”; azfamily.com: “Dead veterans canceling their own appointments?”; New York Times: “Report Finds Sharp Increase in Veterans Denied V.A. Benefits,” “More than 125,000 U.S. veterans are being denied crucial mental health services,” and “Rubio, Miller ask committee to back VA accountability bills.” Are these headlines from 2014, when the VA scandal broke? The sad answer is no. All these headlines — and so many more — are from the past ten days, a fact that also speaks for itself....
Some significantly wounded veterans do require additional help, because we are often trapped into government healthcare for provision of those services. Groups like Wounded Warriors are indeed scammy, but others do good work trying to make up the gaps, or help out in other ways. Building wheelchair ramps to your house, for example, or providing things like family counseling.
It was his event, and his organization is responsible for collecting and distributing the funds. He would basically be investigating his own organization. That's why Fox is trying to pin it on him, and why one of Trump's campaign spokeswomen said "we are continuing to distribute the money raised as it comes in and we are expanding the list of groups receiving contributions." (Emphasis added).Do you really think Trump manages the charity? Don't be silly.
Because the VA cannot do everything and anything for wounded vets or their families. In my view, The Frump is very well-established as a liar and a thief. I'm also very suspicious of a lot of the charities for wounded veterans. To be blunt, I don't see why the EFF a wounded vet should need to rely on charity for a god damn thing.

Bankrupting? Yes. Fraud? Not that I know of. I haven't seen any indications of illegal activity.I think that money tends to stick to him in ways that it shouldn't, that he has a long history of defrauding his business partners, defrauding customers, and extremely shady practices.
Look, I get you're a Trump hater; but you're going to need to show how he's behind this.
I haven't made up my mind about who I support yet, but no one has produced proof he's stealing the money.

I'd also say that you are accusing him of embezzling funds from a charity event for veterans, when he's trying to run for President. That sounds highly unlikely.
I'm reluctant to mention this, but I want to make a point:
A couple of years ago in my gubmint job, I interviewed a severely wounded vet who lives a few miles from my house. It was part of a longitudinal study, so I met with him a few times. On one of those occasions, he mentioned that he would be going into the hospital for some work the next week. Back then, I was still walking OK myself, and since I knew from our conversations that he wouldn't let me help him, I decided I'd go out to his property (a beat-up trailer on a dumpy lot) and clean it up some. Only took me about an hour, although a lot more could have been done.
My thought is that people in this gentleman's position shouldn't need to depend on a charitable organization, with its overhead and potential for fraud. What the heck is wrong with the neighbors that they can't do something?

I guess I missed the part where they discuss communism.
Simple screw up - American is a conservative. He has communist up there mostly to troll actual socialists.I guess you need it explained to you simply, then...OK
1. You are the one that put your leaning as being Communist.
2. I agree with what you said in your ini8tial post of this thread.
3. That means I am agreeing with a communist, of which you are one...right?
4. I seldom if ever, agree with any communist about anything.
There, does that eliminate your confusion?
