Under normal circumstances, sure. Be concerned when Musk stages a visit. When the leader and 2nd in command of the most powerful nation on the planet are talking about colonising other nations - and the Russian leader sides with this; the rest of the world takes note mate.
The Danes and Greenlanders are rightly pissed off, as are the Canadians and if they take it as a joke - they are being utterly foolish about it.
This is just the beginning - there are many other nations around the world that are rich in resources that America and Russia could seek to exploit.

Seriously though, I do understand your point and share the same concerns. I'm being flippant about Vance because he's been relegated to an even less visible role than VPs typically have due to Musk having a more prominent forward facing role. There's a lot still to see in terms of what this administration actually does to act on its imperialistic rhetoric. There's only so much the US can do to acquire new territory, and Donnie Boy painted himself into a corner by being a staunch anti-war/foreign entanglements president. I don't think the US using force to acquire new territory would go over well in this country, because much of what he's proposed is seen as frivolous and capricious.
