Actually, I feel this is a perfect thread for all churches to advertise their Summer Vacation and Bible School plans. But, if you have ever arrended Vacation Bible School as a Child or helped run one ---- again, this would be the perfect thread to interact on...

thanks Nipper. i attended Bible School as a child and had fun with learning the Bible at the same time. we made projects and earned rewards for Bible memory.

i remember one day the Teacher told us about the Rapture of the church. amazing to my young mine where christians suddenly go up and disappear from this world, while those left behind go into the Tribulation.

this has affected me all of my life and i have had a continual interest in Bible Prophecy, expecting Jesus to take us home every year. April 8 was Big for me, it just seemed that this was a sign in the sky from the Lord saying it won't be long.

so yeah, it all started with VBS or vacation bible school and life has never been the same for me since then. VBS and End Times happenings are a natural; just saw this End Times sign today on YouTube: James Webb Telescope JUST WARNED THE WORLD We should pay attention i feel.

april 8 save SMALLL.webp...blessings all and please send yur kids to VBS for an experience that will open their eyes for Life.

it did for me, now i am fully awake.

blessings.

July 14 - 18, 2025 will be Easton Bible Church's Vacation Bible School in Hainesport, New Jersey. Admission is free. The theme for 2025 is MAGNIFIED Psalms 34:3 Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt HIS name together. https://ebc.org/events?sapurl=LytzZ...hbGVuZGFyJnJlY2VudFJvdXRlU2x1Zz0lMkJma3I3OG54

Sounds like a massive waste of time. Kids should do something fun or useful with their summer vacation time, not waste it in a brainwashing chamber.

Yeah, like play on their cell phones, and watch cartoons.... You like that ---- right!

Thanks for the invite but in my neck of the woods (the Midwest) if I were to throw a rock in any cardinal direction.....I risk hitting one of those kids!

Better yet, let's expand this to all religions. Temples, mosques... everybody, please advertise your summer religious programs!

Here is the summer weekly program for the local Sikh temple.

It's great whenever parents send their kids to VBS. My Antiochian Parish puts one on every summer as well. We have to teach our kids to lead and be grounded people of faith. Adopted Sons and Daughters of God.

Easton Bible Church - never heard of them before but the 'our beliefs' sections reads in line with Historically Orthodox Christianity. So I wouldn't take issue with sending my kid there even if though they are likely Protestants/Evangelicals.

Here is the weekly calendar for a California Synagogue.

Please note the Wednesday morning meditation sessions.

One of the few churches that I actually find actually live Christian values and give more to their community than they take from it…and those folks don’t wield Bibles as weapons over there:

well amen Bird.

when i worked these Summer Programs, i always wanted parents to show up; this is more of a Family Thing for me.

glad to see that you find one church that does it for you. toooo many give up and wont look for a good place, and too many are content to just have a small little group.

the Bible IS a spiritual weapon and should be used as one.
we don't want people to end up in the Eternal Toaster over something at a church they don't like.

best to shop around. we attend about 4 churches on average, it tends to avoid some issues for all of us.

blessings.

Yes, tv and phones are the only alternatives to religion.

Sidd, best to dump the propaganda mills of TV and phones.

we dumped our TV about 30 years ago, if something is of any value, then there is YouTube and others.

we open Godly literature at night, the bible or christian book...........best alternative to Everything else.

and keeeps people out of the Toaster.

0001_06.gif...ooops this guy didn't find Vacation Bible school; the Atheist defense not gonna cut it as we will see.

But do the kids have fun?

Jeremy Renner sponsors summer camp for foster children without regard to religion.

Kids love him. Do they love Bible camp?

But do the kids have fun?

I went to Vacation Bible School at several different churches as a child, and I always had lots of fun.

That's nice. I want to a Christian Bible Camp called TRI-STATE BIBLE CAMP and had a blast. They had a pool and all kinds of games, and we read the Bible.

Did you ever attend a Bible Summer Camp? I'm sure even JESUS played sometimes as a child. That is how one makes friends.

Not true, but the study of religion is another alternative that most individuals forgo ----- placing a limit on one's motives for learning to think and discover.

That's exactly what organized religion does.

No, I think your opinion of organized religion does that. One needn't study GOD to be regarded as involved in some cult. Birds of a feather and all that jazz... One may accept a belief that various forms of behavior are without repercussions, but such a belief likely puts limits on reality for the sake of one's practices. And such is never wholesome by any means.

That's a lot of words and not a bit of sense.

I remember attending VBS once where it was like a retreat in the wilderness. We stayed in cabins. And during the day we did fun things like Horseback riding and Canoeing. Our religious lessons were maybe once or twice a day but it was more about surrounding yourself with other believers and doing typical kid things.
