Utah lawmaker moves to disarm BLM, IRS, says ‘They’re not paramilitary units’

I will go along with the op for the most part. I wouldn't deny a blm or usfs ranger his side arm, or maybe a shotgun in his marked vehicle. As a ccw holder, I carry a sidearm myself.
However, Obama did say we ought to have a national force funded and equipped as well as the military. Well, looks to me like he has it. I can't remember the last time I have seen any law enforcement vehicle that didn't have an ar-15 buckled in it. I've seen motorcycle cops with ar-15s strapped on. And now blm has snipers? How long have they had snipers? Does the postal service have snipers too? How about snipers for the IRS or social security? And I can't own a mag that holds more than 10.

They want to show solidarity among racists, like Truthers sticking up for each other no matter how ridiculous it becomes.

No. The greatest solidarity we see amongst racists, race-baiters, and all-around scurrilous reprobates who rely on internecine hatred to fulfill their political agenda, is all on the left.l

Somehow I don't think a state can legislate to disarm the federal government.

Ironic, isn't it? This country was founded as a republic, yet that seems to not be the case anymore. States seem to have little say over anything anymore. Drug laws come to mind. Rather than respect State decisions, they still interfere. Some states are now pushing to reclaim rights to their public lands which the federal gov't. took over from them.

while I understand the sentiment (even if i don't agree with it) wouldn't the BLM still be able to work with other government organizations that have the power to come in armed? I don't know if this law would actually change anything.
Sure, Obama personal police force is being readied as we speak.

I didn't realize supposed "racist" comments had anything to do with his plight with the BLM. Interesting.

I lived in Humboldt County, California for a few years. One of the most popular bumper stickers there was "US Out Of Humboldt County".

Liberals always pull out the race card when they're losing.

I just love it when they try to play that card against me, a brown skinned person, "showing solidarity with other white racists" :lamo

The race card, the last refuge of the lowest common denominator.

It's the only thing to do with his fraud. There is no legitimate reason to support him. One can assume that one is doing so to show solidarity among racists. Of course, racists pretend there are other reasons, because they're cowards. And, of course, some supporters are just ignorant.

Come now, the federal government didn't steal the Mexican territory from the states....they stole it Mexico before the territory even had states.

Today some of the western states are trying to claim federal land...not the other way around. But it's a different story in the mid-west where many ranchers are getting their land confiscated for the XL Pipeline.

Were you in favor of the pipeline?

Am I, a brown skinned Dominican American, pretending to be opposed to the heavy handedness of the BLM and the treatment of protesters? Who am I racist against?

You've overplayed the racism card. There ARE legitimate reasons to support him. Just as there are black men defending Bundy right now.

I thought it was Bundy that pulled the race card. I never understood why he started talking about race in the first place. What did that have to do with his cows and the feds?

Actually, I think the quote is, "patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel." - Samuel Johnson

lol

Despite Bundy's mystical claims to the contrary, his family appears to have been there only since 1948.

That aside, historical can be a source of privelages, but not rights. Bundy has no fundamental right to public land that is not his. His privelage to have access to that land, however, should be grandfathered - if and only if he pays the fees.

Since Bundy is not willing to do that (creatively either refuses to pay, or sends the check to people that he know cant accept it), I have zero sympathy for him. It does not matter how long his ancestors have or have not ranched there.

A dead beat who refuses to pay his bill and the wackos who are defending that deadbeat is not the issue of this thread. What is the issue is whether or not certain agencies should be equipped with military weapons or military like weapons.

The alphabet agencies can arm up all they want, till they turn on us. Then its on.

I think they are just jumping on the goberment is e-vile bandwagon, it has nothing to do with racism. Its like when libs would jump on ever Bush is e-vile band wagon and made bogus claims of lying for war, starting 9-11, being a dictator, went awol, stealing elections and numerous other things that were not true. People let their beliefs blind them and they can't see or ignore the truth.

If a public school district or a public transit authority or a Hospital district can have policing authority...why not a federal agency?

I think most would argue that a public school district and transit authority should have it's own policing authority but instead should rely on local law enforcement.

As I said, racism and/or ignorance.

I hear the contrary from persons that advocate conceal/open carry...that the police can not be everywhere.

Many call for armed gaurds or arming teachers and staff at schools...so how is a school district police force wrong?
