The U.S. Supreme Court cleared the way on Tuesday for President Donald Trump's administration to resume carrying out mass job cuts and the restructuring of agencies, elements of his campaign to downsize and reshape the federal government.


The justices lifted San Francisco-based U.S. District Judge Susan Illston's May 22 order that had blocked large-scale federal layoffs called "reductions in force" affecting potentially hundreds of thousands of jobs, while litigation in the case proceeds.

Trump just keeps winning. It's almost like the court recognizes he is the President or something like that.
 
We'll see how much Trump ends up breaking in his glee to "downsize" government.

Mostly, he's just clearing the way to replace what he needs with MAGA loyalists.

But that was different. It was their team so no hair pulling or throbbing purple vein on forehead required.

Oh. So it's not the fact both are cutting hundreds of thousands of workers that's making the left lose their shit. It's the manner in which they're going about doing it.

I can see why Democrats would be so apocalyptic then.
 
Just like in the private sector, Reduction In Force is a disruptive but necessary process to have a workforce efficiently sized to match the workload. We had four years of Biden's uncheck goverment growth. It's time to right-size the goverment. The idea that it's somehow illegal to do so is ridiculous.
