I am not really sure how the legal system is allowing this to happen. Are we even a nation of laws anymore?

Law and Order president y'all.

"The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has directed its staff to stop enforcing violations against fossil fuel companies, according to a CNN report on Monday."

Put a convicted criminal to run an organized crime syndicate rather than an actual government, and this is what you get. What did you expect.
It's OK if Trump does it. He is willing to break the law for the sake of the country./s 😏

Make America Toxic Again !

It goes without saying that there are no significant wealthy lobbyists and campaign contributors who have given Trump tens-of-million$ to act in the enlightened best interests of the health and safety of the citizens of this country, and the future of our children.

Conversely, we know that tens-of-million$ in lobby and campaign money have come to Trump and his party from polluting industries who want a free hand to poison us all in the interests of their bottom line. I mean, FFS, he all but publicly auctioned off the Oval Office to the fossil fuel industry for a $1 Billion Dollar campaign donation!

It doesn't take a Ouija board to divine the intentions of the transactional POTUS. He is 100% predictable.

So here we go again. The left is upset about a change in enforcement of policies the left likes. However, during the Obama administration the Cole Memo issued from the DOJ and severely reduced enforcement of federal marijuana laws. The left didn't seem to mind that change. In fact these things happen all the time in government when the leadership changes. The left just seems to cry louder.

Opinions are like, well, you know.

ignore the law and stop enforcing .... sounds like a sanctuary city ....

If true, it sounds much like what Biden did on immigration.

It's the duty of the Executive Branch to execute the law, not ignore it. Don't like the law? Lobby Congress to change it.

Our country has issues for sure. One of those is not enforcing the law. Part of that lies within the governments decision not to enforce some laws, like those that have been mentioned and part of it lies with the court system to refuse to enforce or punish those who violate the law.

Did you wonder when Obama's administration chose not to enforce federal marijuana laws?

I mean yeah... we have a 34-count convicted felon and rapist ,who would not even be qualified for a job at McDonald's, running the country.

So yeah, American law: a bit of a joke now.

So how is MAGA the "party of law and order" again?

271,000. That's how many illegal immigrants were deported in 2024. More than any year in the previous Trump administration.
But facts don't fit well in the magatry's 'open borders' narrative.

It is clear you people do not know what a so-called sanctuary city is.
Not only do they ignore federal immigration laws, these cities take steps to prevent INS and other federal agencies from doing their lawful job.

Once again, they love this shit.

The right wing has never been about law and order.

They are obsessed with street crime, but allowing fossil fuel companies to **** up the air quality and destroy the environment? All good, hell not just good, we should double down.

No Smoking!

Strawman!
Typical response when you know you haven't a leg to stand on. The selectivity of what you chose to speak out about is certainly not related to the law but to your political preferences.

Strawman begets irony.

Yes, after year after year after year of claiming they couldn't do anything, they suddenly realized they were going to get their assess kicked in the election and tried to actually do something other than roll out the red carpet.
