And it is ABSOLUTELY easier to do a voluntary deportation than to go find someone here illegally an feed them through the deportation process. When the river of people flowing in dries up, you don't have the opportunity to show big numbers from that. The good part of that is that volume IS very resource intensive, so fewer of these allows resources to be redirected to other aspects of enforcement. My point again - you are comparing apples to potatoes when you try to compare the total number of deportations under Trump to Obama and Biden.

In Mexico, threats against judicial and law-enforcement officials and their families have been a major source of leverage criminal cartels have been able to use to undermine civil authority in the country.
