You may not have realized I don't call the shots. If you want to hear the 'plan' check the news or write your congressman.

I said they'll likely be tested - ICE will see to that. I have also said elsewhere not every asylum seeker gets in - that's a fact regardless of the administration. It's unlikely many of those who do get in will have any impact in general on the US citizenry and extremely unlikely they'll make the clusterf*** of the trump virus any worse than it is.

We will never have a true surplus. Look at Social Security.

When I started working and paying taxes I was told the FICA tax was being increased so there would be plenty of money when I become eligible. I believed my government then and supported the democratic party the party of the people. I later in life looked into what was happening with my SS. I found out the extra money I had paid in was going into the general fund with a never ending negative balance. I was issued a treasury bond for the money and interest. Now my SS is backed by nothing but an IOU which my children and grandchildren will have to repay. Oh they can't afford it because there are more retired people than the current population can support. Now they have to repay what I paid in and pay the current FICA.

The solution for me at retirement age is to print more money and hand the bill to the next generation of idiots who believe our government.

Well you don't have to worry because they won't get into Mexico.

Most of us are on a red light still, especially after the holiday season and nobody is going to want to deal with an unknown group like this.

Until then they are just another group that want to enter the US for financial reasons.

Let them in. Give them Medicare, free college, housing, stimulus checks, and welfare if needed. And why stop there? We might as well mail out free plane tickets to anyone else who wants to come and take advantage of the deal. Who cares if there are already >50 thousand of homeless people in LA alone.

You have the richest nation on the planet. Build the homeless somewhere to live; America can afford to spend $700 billion on military toys, so a measly few million spent on affordable housing shouldn't be a problem, right?

I agree. CA is the 5th largest economy in the world and is run by good honest Democrats who care about people. It should show the rest of the country how it's done.

They got sent home. Mexico and Guatemala said nope, you're not going to the U S.

Honduras got slammed by two hurricanes in November and their economy is hurting from the Covid pandemic, so a lot of it has to do with economics and living conditions, as well as gangs, I'm thinking...

They can come after legally applying. I hope President Biden will raise caps on immigration so some of them can make it.
