Government is uncivilized. It funds itself through extortion, enforces obedience at gunpoint, and hands your freedom to power-hungry imbeciles. It’s a barbaric relic, and the sooner humanity can be rid of it the better.

Capitalism is about short-term gains over long term consequences. Hence we can't trust the 'free market' to regulate pollution, climate change, income inequality. The stuff that poisons humanity and/or ends civilizations. The profit motive > human lives.

When capitalists with their bags of money reach the boats to escape whatever calamity they helped create, they will have to get in the back of the line. Because money is ultimately worthless outside of government. Hence why @aociswundumho is trapped in some bizarre paradox that he cannot escape from, and sadly doesn't even want to try.

They are slaves to nihilism and cynicism, not truly free. The best they can hope for in life is to get into the good graces of some post-apocalyptic feudal lord.
