University of Nebraska-Lincoln shuts down DEI office, eliminates $320k vice chancellor position

The complaint is NEVER about blacks or gays getting into college, government or private jobs. The complaint is ALWAYS about less qualified people going ahead of others to comply with some quotas.
 
Is tuition lowered as a consequence of the university's saving hundreds of thousands of bucks by closing the DEI office?

There are certain posters here who. like Commiela, Walz, Obama, Joy Reid always see things in color. If someone criticizes someone of color it's not because they think that person is wrong or bad, but because that person is "of color".

The most frequent criticism of CRT and DEI seems to be that government is so liberal it has run off the rails and is now dictating behavior. Both seem to have been misinterpreted.

The Florida Board of Governors voted in January to prohibit state funding to be used toward Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, including "political or social activism" activities on campus.DeSantis and his administration has spearheaded numerous efforts targeting DEI and education around race in Florida. ..... "We are also going to eliminate all DEI and [critical race theory] bureaucracies in the state of Florida. No funding and that will wither on the vine."

DEI: What does it mean and what is its purpose?

DEI initiatives have come under attack by conservative legislators, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.

He's more into social agendas then profits. And then there's his dumbass "Taliban" comment. I'm surprised he's still CEO after that.

You know, the things you enjoy most were invented by....white men? Not that most white men are useful. In most instances they are useless, you demonstrate that, but let's not get ahead of ourselves here. The public's money needs to be better spent. DEI is not a good investment.

I sold my 03 RKC I had for 18 years back in 2021. Had an old shovelhead I sold before we left California

Here last week I was going to pick up a 07' Wide Glide. I remembered the position I took on the John Deere Zero-Turn and stood my ground and declined to by the scooter. It was a beautiful bike but I could no longer support HD, even a used one.
 

It's just reality. White folks can't face it. It's quite tragic, really, because DEI liberates them too.

The issue is that white people want to 'save face' by pretending they can make a difference by NOT working to improve themselves. And, this is done by keeping things the same. DEI made sure it was a 'root' that grew in the other direction and accelerated incapable individuals into positions they were not up to. And if you don't agree with it, then that makes you a 'racist' or some other bs. It has had fairly negative effects on society and has made individuals more extremist. Idiots.

If you want to 'include' others then give them jobs that pay them above average wage like a lot of white people do for their kids, etc. But, that isn't what they want to do. They just want them out of sight. Also, something white people do with their kids.

Basically this issue is very extensive and not something we would all agree on.
 
CRT talks about implicit biases that promote racist stereotypes and prevents hiring if one has a black sounding name which has been confirmed in numerous experiments.

While i have some disagreements with some of the workplace training that focuses on people who have no say in the hiring process instead of the ones who do, i still think CRT has merit.
