Uranium enrichment

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,206372,00.html

how freakin laughable is that?

so dont agree.....and we will pass another resolution......and then if you dont agree.......we will pass yet another resolution.

and after more than a decade......the world can blame America because Irans citizens have been starving because the Iranian government didnt abide by UN resolutions.

we all know the UN means business when they pass a resolution.

maybe Iran can get some kind of an oil for food program going with the good ole UN.

Thank God for the U.N., you see, they are not about being popular, they are about doing the right thing, they are about achieving a lasting-peace with their passing resolution after resolution.

They are not for rushing to judgement nor to war as some are inclined to do so, and then blame others for their miserable foreign policies.

Maybe, just maybe, if President Bush had given the U.N. resolutions a chance, that we would not be in the hell of a mess that we (Israel and the United States) face in the Middle-East today.

Do you think?

Name one instance where the UN made lasting peace?

How does an oil for food scandal create lasting peace?

Obviously they dont rush to war. They took over a decade and a dozens of pointless resolutions with no teeth in them while dealing with Iraq.

And to claim AMerica didnt give the UN a chance after more than a decade and more than a dozen useless resolutions is nonsense.

How many resolutions did the U.N. make with Iraq and there was still evidence of Chemical and Biological weapon labs and materials during the invasion and more turned up recently (no longer AS useful, but still means they were never found by inspectors nor destroyed). Yeah...that did a LOT of good there. "Lasting peace".

Isn't it a U.N. Resolution that DIDN'T get carried out by the U.N. that is partially why the Israeli's are upset and doing as they're doing, and telling the U.N. they ened to finally enforce the 6 year old resolution? Yeah, so...i mean, naturally...we need the U.N. to come in, and make a resolution, that they'll follow the resolution, that they will never actually follow. Wooooo doggie, that'll make a lasting peace.

What about all the resolutions and great talks over the years with North Korea. Yep. Those did wonnnnderful. I mean, that whole time they were telling us they weren't working on nuclear weapons they had to be telling the truth. I'm sure Kim just kind of crapped his pants one day, turned around, and went "opps, look'ee here, its a nuke. How'd that pop out of there". I bet we can get some kind of U.N. resolution there telling them they need to give up thier missiles and they'll follow it.

So sure. Talks and resolutions and "threats" of passing a resolution have REALLLLLLY worked great in the past, including with Iran so...naturally, I mean, just keep doing a resolution. I know if I have to watch a Kid and I tell him "Don't take that cookie off the counter, or I will have to tell you not to eat the cookie, and if you eat the cookie i'm going to have to tell you not to take that other cookie, and THEN if you take that cookie....i'm going to tell you not to eat it. And if you eat it then........." Surely that kind of strategy works.

This is pointless, and won't stop a single damn thing. Great job U.N. Keep making resolutions to make a few pompous people feel good about the world, while everything continues to go down the drain.

In other words they do nothing till it's to late and we have to go in and fix the situation. If thats what your thanking god for then you go for it. NOBODY responds to the UN resolutions. Iraq is pretty much a testament to that... years of resolutions.....

There a useless, spinless organization.. They have no teeth, as such there resolutions are followed by another resolution.... This means that they can't do anything about anything, except draft resolutions. They don't form lasting peace. They give time to perfect whatever criminal act the resolution receiver is actually performing. Then they outright laugh in the face of the UN...

Do you think?

I know!!

Threaten them with "serious consequences"

And then let the French back it up.

WOW KId ... that UN strategy really seemed to work. I can see why you were touting them so heavily... So now I assume they issue another resolution that Iran will laff at, all the while continuing to do what they want then they issue another resolution that Iran will laff at, all the while continuing to do what they want. then they issue another resolution that Iran will laff at, all the while continuing to do what they want. then they issue another resolution that Iran will laff at, all the while continuing to do what they want. then they issue another resolution that Iran will laff at, all the while continuing to do what they want then they want then they issue another resolution that Iran will laff at, all the while continuing to do what they want. then they issue another resolution that Iran will laff at, all the while continuing to do what they want. then they issue another resolution that Iran will laff at, all the while continuing to do what they want then they want then they issue another resolution that Iran will laff at, all the while continuing to do what they want. then they issue another resolution that Iran will laff at, all the while continuing to do what they want then they want then they issue another resolution that Iran will laff at, all the while continuing to do what they want..... Then after all is said and done when I ran is truly dangerous and has nuclear material in stock they will then subtely suggest we do something. When we do they will scream how rotten we are. BUt secretly they will be thanking God someone had the balls to stop whatever it was there useless reolutions couldn't
