Will the King of War (Donny "Bone Spurs" Trump) react? Or will he go to get burgers in DC?

Yes, Russia has sent drones into Poland. They are testing Poland of course, then NATO, and finally Trump.

We know Trump will TACO so what will be the rest of NATO's response?

Poland didn't know about this? They had to have another country monitor their air space?

Yikes.

Bet Poland does **** all about this, however, now that they know. Not sure why they won't respond.

When you enter another's airspace without permission that is an act of aggression.
The US routinely sent aircraft over the USSR until the Soviets started blowing them out of the sky.

Funny how it wasn’t an “act of aggression” then.

If it wasn't an act of regression why did they supposedly blow them out of the sky?

Why were they sent into Soviet airspace in the first place if it was?

You can’t have it both ways dude.

And claiming this is an “attack” is especially comical given all that hysteria about that Polish farm that a missile fell on….

Right up until it turned out the missile was a Ukrainian one.

from the OP:

Polish and allied aircraft were activated early on Wednesday to safeguard Poland's airspace after Russia launched an air attack on Ukraine's western regions that border the NATO-member Poland.

"Polish and allied aircraft are operating in our airspace, while ground-based air defence and radar reconnaissance systems have been brought to the highest state of readiness," the operational command of the Polish armed forces said in a post on X....

...Ukrainian media reported that at least one drone was heading towards the western Polish city of Rzeszow.

Rzeszów–Jasionka Airport has been a logistics hub for NATO aid to Ukraine, though the United States pulled its forces from the base earlier this year.

The airport in Lublin, Poland, southeast of Warsaw, was also unavailable due to military activity, a NOTAM said.

Poland earlier announced it was closing its eastern border with Russian ally Belarus as it Belarus prepares for military exercises beginning Friday.

Back in 2022 a Ukrainian S300 missile fired from Ukraine somehow wound up hitting Poland. At the time Ukraine claimed it was Russian and all but wanted an Article 5

Missile that struck Poland grain silo and killed two people in 2022 was fired by Ukraine

Immediately following the explosion, Poland's foreign ministry had claimed the missile was Russian-made, but its president was more reluctant to point fingers. Russia had denied it was behind the strike near the Ukrainian-Polish state border.

Poland activated its air defenses and scrambled NATO-allied aircraft. Poland is a NATO MEMBER lest you've forgotten

Something like this was the first thing I was wondering about when I heard this news today. I thought it noteworthy that Ukraine was warning that Russian drones entered Poland's airspace.

How is that strange when they most likely went through Ukrainian airspace or Ukrainian monitored airspace to get to Poland? You know where Poland is on a map right?

It's not strange if and when it is properly verified these are indeed Russian drones. This from CBS tonight.

"In a statement on X, the country's armed forces said an "operation is underway aimed at identifying and neutralizing the objects," and it is "actively working to locate the downed objects." The military encouraged people to stay home in the meantime.

Hours earlier, Poland said its aircraft had been activated to ensure safety in the country's airspace during Russian strikes on Ukrainian territory.

The statements did not specify what country launched the drone-like objects. Ukraine and Russia have not appeared to respond to the reports."

Published 35 minutes ago as BREAKING NEWS:

Poland said it scrambled its own and NATO air defences to shoot down drones on Wednesday after a Russian air attack on western Ukraine, the first time in the Ukraine war that Warsaw has engaged assets in its airspace.

Poland's military command said drones repeatedly violated Polish airspace during the Russian attack across the border in Ukraine, and the defence minister said NATO command had been briefed.

Radars tracked more than 10 objects and those that could pose a threat were "neutralised," the command said.

"Some of the drones that entered our airspace were shot down. Searches and efforts to locate the potential crash sites of these objects are ongoing," it said in a statement.

It said the military operation was ongoing and urged people to stay at home, naming the regions of Podlaskie, Mazowieckie, and Lublin as most at risk.

Poland's army called the violation of the nation's airspace an "act of aggression", while Defence Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said Polish aircraft had "used weapons against hostile objects".

"We are in constant contact with NATO command," he added on X.

Chopin Airport in Warsaw, the country's largest, announced that its airspace was closed due to military actions.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration earlier said Chopin was one of four Polish airports to be temporarily closed, including Rzeszow–Jasionka Airport in the southeast, a hub for passenger and arms transfers to Ukraine.

Russia's defence ministry did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment....

Someone remind me about the part about Trump making the world safer?
I can remind you of the dangers of NATO expansion from before the time Poland was in NATO - but specifically of the 1999 enlargement
Putin just said no NATO troops in Ukr. He's been clear on that. so Ukr wants ceasefire but not to negotiate land for peace

The time is now 7am in Warsaw, or 6am BST. If you're just joining us, here's what's been happening overnight:

Poland says it shot down drone-like objects which violated its airspace during a Russian attack on Ukraine

This marks the first time a member of the Nato military alliance has directly engaged Russian assets in its airspace since the Ukraine war started in 2022

Poland's president will soon be chairing a National Security briefing with key officials

The Polish PM says the operation is "ongoing" and he is in contact with the Nato chief; he will also be conducting an extraordinary cabinet meeting in an hour

The Polish military says the incident is an "unprecedented violation of Polish airspace", an "act of aggression that posed a real threat to the safety of our citizens"

Citizens in three regions along the border with Ukraine, including Mazowieckie where the capital Warsaw is located, have been urged to stay home and shelter

Operations at four airports have also paused, with the country's major air hub Chopin airport in Warsaw saying that airspace over the country has been shut

Poland said on Wednesday that it had shot down Russian drones that entered its airspace during a massive attack on targets across the border in Ukraine, calling it an “act of aggression” by Moscow.

Poland and allied air forces launched warplanes in response and put ground-based air defenses on high alert, the Polish military said. It said that drones had repeatedly violated the country’s airspace after Russia began a wave of strikes in Ukraine, near the Polish border.

There were no immediate reports of casualties in Poland. The military did not say how many drones had entered the country’s airspace or how many were shot down. The military said it was looking for crash sites.

“This is an act of aggression that posed a real threat to the safety of our citizens,” the military’s operational command said on social media.

There was no immediate comment from Russia’s defense ministry.

At least three Polish airports were temporarily closed because of the military operation, including the country’s biggest, Warsaw Chopin Airport, according to notices posted by the Federal Aviation Administration in the United States.

The Polish military advised people to stay at home. It said the biggest threat was in Poland’s eastern provinces, including Podlaskie, on the border with Belarus; the province of Masovia, which includes the capital, Warsaw; and Lublin, which borders both Belarus and Ukraine.

Russia’s full-scale offensive in Ukraine is in its fourth year, and it has recently ramped up its drone and missile attacks on the country, despite efforts by the United States and other countries to broker peace.

On Sunday, Russia launched its largest drone assault so far in the war, the Ukrainian authorities said. After that attack, the Trump administration said it was prepared to increase economic pressure on Russia to get it to negotiate.

President Trump has grown increasingly frustrated with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia, who has given little indication that he is ready to ease his maximalist demands to end the conflict.

Since Russia began its full-scale invasion in 2022, NATO countries, especially Poland, have been on high alert for any expansion of the Russian campaign into their territories.

Poland's Tusk calls emergency security meeting

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is set to meet ministers responsible for state security, with an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers at 8 a.m. local time (0600 GMT), a government spokesman has said.

Tusk said he was in "constant contact" with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte and that operations were ongoing.

Poland says it scrambled its own and NATO air defenses to shoot down drones on Wednesday after a Russian air attack on western Ukraine.

It marks the first time that Warsaw has engaged assets in its airspace since Russia launched the war in Ukraine.

Polish military accuses Russia of 'act of aggression'

The Polish military has condemned repeated violations of its airspace amid a Russian attack on neighboring Ukraine.

Officials said trackers had spotted a dozen drone-type objects, downing some of them.

"Following today's attack by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian territory, an unprecedented violation of Polish airspace by drone-type objects took place," the operational command of Poland's armed forces said on social media.

"This is an act of aggression that has created a real threat to the safety of our citizens."...
