Sadly, mass graves may be a necessity. What the Russians have done there cannot be forgotten. It's past time that the west give Ukraine the heavy weapons they need to stop these atrocities.

If Ukraine is to be a proxy to stop Putin's expansionism - a role the west has cast for them - then at least give them the means to do so. More of the OP is what we can expect from Putin otherwise.

Cannot be forgiven? Not only did we forgive the Germans and Japanese after WW2, but we helped rebuild those countries. Even the South Koreans trade with Japan and Israel trades with its Arab neighbors. Nothing good happens when you get stuck in the past.

BTW the time for the west to give the Ukrainians heavy weapons was before the war started. You need to remember that NATO stood by and did nothing of substance while the Ukraine fell. Nada, zilch....

Zelensky has warned for that the areas that the Russians leave has been mined. Even the dead bodies has been mined.

I said "cannot be fogotten". Forgiveness is another matter entirely. We can forgive. We should not forget.

There's no doubt NATO stood by and offered nothing. But it's not too late to provide significant help. There's a window now. It may not be open long at all, but the west should act now, before it's too late.
