UK and France 'in talks' to deploy troops to Ukraine over fears of US removing support

Yet Vietnam today is a valued trading partner and our ally against the Chinese communists. All our goals in Vietnam have been accomplished. Sometimes the best way to win is to retreat.
How many innocent Vietnamese civilians were murdered by the US in pursuit of accomplishing "our goals"?

According to real history or official history?

https://chomsky.info/198210__/

"The purpose is obvious: to obscure the fact that the United States did attack South Vietnam and the major war was fought against South Vietnam.

"The real invasion of South Vietnam which was directed largely against the rural society began directly in 1962 after many years of working through mercenaries and client groups.

"And that fact simply does not exist in official American history.

"There is no such event in American history as the attack on South Vietnam.

"That’s gone.

"Of course,

"It is a part of real history.

"But it’s not a part of official history."

According to reality.

The US bombed Cambodia in support of its illegal invasion and occupation of South Vietnam.

Neither illegal nor occupation.

Puerto Rico is not a colony.

Cuba already knows and is being paid for the base.

Actually the US has actively worked to help keep Putin in power. Our intelligence experts believe that Putin will not use nukes and that makes him preferable to any unknown who might replace him. Even after his invasion of Ukraine we only increased the power and effectiveness of the weapons supplied incrementally hoping that Putin would eventually see that he can never win in Ukraine and withdraw his attack. It was all in vain since Putin is blind and deaf. His downfall will be on him entirely. His insistence on waging an imperialist war of conquest against a people that are willing to die for their country have doomed him to failure and likely an untimely death.
Which "active actions" has the US government taken to enhance Putin's power in Russia?

From what I've read & heard, Zelensky is himself corrupt. Any truth to that or is that Russia/Democrat propaganda?

Depends on the source.

As far as i know, all the "corruption" claims against Zelensky have been bullshit passed on by Russian manure misinformation spreaders.

Russia has not lost 700,000 dead or wounded; Ukraine has lost that many, at least

Show your work.

; Russia is stronger today than it was three years ago

Russia is heading for stagflation. There are warnings that the Russian economy will be rocked with business bankruptcies in 2025 if things stay status quo. And they've lost 3 major oil refineries that account for 10% (or more) of their refining in a month.

"US President-elect Donald Trump won’t end the Ukraine war because he has appointed 'a bunch of hawks' who suffer from 'Russophobia in the extreme', international relations scholar John Mearsheimer has claimed."

https://unherd.com/newsroom/john-mearsheimer-trump-is-appointing-russophobic-hawks/

Mearsheimer also believes Trump will find it hard to accept Putin's two conditions for entering into negotiations aimed at ending the bloodshed in Ukraine:

1. Ukraine will never be in NATO.

2. Crimes and the for Oblasts Russia has now annexed are permanently lost.

John Mearsheimer's formal education shaped much of his political perspectives.

Before obtaining his Ph.D in government from Cornell University he earned a master's degree in international relations from the University of Southern California. Prior to that, John graduated from West Point after serving one year as an enlisted man.

Since 1982, he's been a faculty member of the Department of Political Science at the University of Chicago.

His political insights stem from a variety of life experiences that most in his line of work haven't experienced.

What Ukraine will never accept is a "peace" that allows Russia to just invade again whenever they feel like it. Trump understands that concern. Why would you think Ukraine would stop fighting on those terms? Give Ukraine euro peacekeepers that will stop further bloodshed and they will wait to get back their occupied lands diplomatically. That is a fair deal. You seem to want the war to go on for many more years.

Because of his life experiences, Butler saw the role finance plays in promoting US wars more clearly than almost anyone of his time or this one:

https://www.goodreads.com/author/quotes/115545.Smedley_D_Butler

"'I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers.'

"'In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism.'

"'I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914.'
"At the time of his death, Butler was the most decorated Marine in U.S. military history. By the end of his career, Butler had received sixteen medals, including five for heroism; he is the only Marine to be awarded the Marine Corps Brevet Medal as well as two Medals of Honor, all for separate actions."--Souece wiki.

Butler was badasss.

Yanukovych lied about the most important issue to Ukrainians to get elected and then had his goons shoot the protesters that resulted from that lie. He could have reversed his decision about the EU and remained in power but chose to go to Moscow instead. He was replaced for desertion of duty according to the Constitution of Ukraine. He was in Putin's pocket and a traitor. America will always support the will of the people to remove themselves from domination by our enemies. We believe that democracy is better than dictatorships.
About half of all Ukrainians supported closer economic ties with the EU, but it's not clear how many of those were aware of the inflation that would have come from IMF structural adjustments like elimination of gas subsidies.

Almost one in three Ukrainians wanted to maintain the economic status quo with their neighbor Russia; this side was willing to settle the issue at the ballot box: Joe Biden, Jake Sullivan, and Victoria Nuland knew better.

Snipers from both sides murdered police officers and protestors alike once the US succeeded in instigating a violent, far-right coup in 2014.

Yanukovych promised he would support closer ties with the EU and then reversed himself as soon as he took office. He could have listened to the people but his control by Putin was too strong. When the Ukrainians realized that they revolted. The fact that Putin invaded when he could not control Ukraine's leader speaks volumes about his intentions from the start. He wanted Ukraine to be another Belarus and that was unacceptable to Ukraine and still is. The US had little to do with the uprising and the real cause of the ouster of the President was Yanukovych fleeing to Moscow. Why did he do that?

Yes we do. It took place after the resignation of Azarov.
When did Russia publish Nuland's phone conversation with the US ambassador to Ukraine, before or after Yanukovych fled for his life?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victo...ment seized on,2014, was published on YouTube.

"Following the victory of Viktor Yanukovych in the 2010 presidential election, Azarov succeeded Yanukovych as leader of the Party of Regions and was appointed as prime minister in March 2010.[1][2]

"In January 2014, after weeks of Euromaidan protests and the 2014 Hrushevskoho Street riots,[nb 1] Azarov offered his letter of resignation.[4]

"After the Revolution of Dignity, Azarov fled to Russia and according to Azarov himself, was allegedly offered 'political refugee status on the personal instructions of Vladimir Putin'.[5]

"Since then he has been reportedly living in the vicinity of the Russian village of Petrovo-Dalneye, near Moscow."

Why do you support a neo-Nazi like Putin?

If I guessed Trump wins the election in October 2024 did that mean I'm the reason he won?
Depends on how much money you donated to his campaign.
Depends on how many conversations you had with Trump's rival, and what you promised them after Trump's victory.
Nuland selected a Prime Minister that no Ukrainians had an opportunity to vote for.
She had no legitimate right interfering in the domestic politics of Ukraine.
Period.
