U.S. troops hope Afghanistan sacrifices not in vain - Washington Times
U.S. troops hope Afghanistan sacrifices not in vainRate this story
KANDAHAR, Afghanistan | The sirens blared as a Taliban rocket attack rattled troops across Kandahar Air Field for the second time last week.
Army Sgt. 1st Class Teresa R. Coble and other members of her unit at the base's media-support center hit the floor, lay flat on the dusty cement and protected their heads with their hands. Later, the unit moved to cement-reinforced bunkers until the all-clear sounded.
While the Obama administration debates whether to send tens of thousands more U.S. troops to Afghanistan and Afghans prepare to vote for president for the second time in four months, some of those already braving rockets and bombs worry that their mission has lost the support of the U.S. public and that their sacrifices - and those of their fallen comrades - have been in vain.
"What about the troops who died giving their lives for this mission?" Sgt. Coble asked as she waited for the rocket alert to finish.
This story has some anecdotal stories here, but it follows the same thing I and many other veterans have been saying about Obama's fiddling while Afghanistan burns.... Troop moral is suffering, and I hate to read stories like this. Obama needs to make a decision now.
why is it that Obama is getting all the flak over Bush's mess ups. Obama was supposed to get your troops out of Iraq. they are still there. that is enough for me to know that he is not going to keep his word. there is to much profit in having people die.

Because it's Barry's show, that's why. I was listening to Dennis Miller the other night and he said that PBO has a sign on his desk that says, "The Buck Starts here".
9-11 and it's aftermath...The Bush and Cheney show?
So when do you hold obama responsible? you know the POTUS?
I will hold him responsible as most reasonable people will when he takes the time weighs the facts and comes to his conclusion as to what our future in Afghanistan will be and those policies are implemented and the results good or bad become true...then and only then will I hold him responsible.
Until then the situation was born and exits souly from PAST stonewalling standoff policies of the previous adminstration. That is why they are being judged on there amazing inaction.
I do not think the President should not come to a public decision until the REAL legitimate votes are counted in their next revote of the last corrupt fraudulant elections. Fraud that was conducted by you know who's puppet government.

How long? How long do you give him from the day he took office?
That's right. That's what the Libbos have been saying for years. Time to practice what you preach.
How long did you wait to start attacking him for no reason what so ever?
You know its funny how these partisan hacks will blame bush for 911 but nary a word about how clinton treated AQ like a criminal investigation, and refused bin laden when he was offered to him......
Didn't Bush enjoy approval ratings in the 90's directly after the 9-11 attacks then it dropped steadily down too 23%. Why do you think that is Rev?
Because of the attention he paid to Afghanistan?
How long did it take you to start attacking president Obama for no reason what so ever?
I started attacking him as soon as I knew his policies and history.... But there was reason. As an American, I take exception to some socialist buffoon and his apparatchiks wanting to remake my great nation.
Bush and Cheney in many ways slapped your great nation in the face...why are you so accepting of that?
What if I told you that it was recommended by military officers in the pentagon that we should attack al-quaeda and the taliban long before sept 11, but the idea never took hold.
You can just blame not taking actions on afghanistan on single persons.
"There was support until you lefties trashed him for politcal gain."
Tell us Rev what was the exact "Political Gain" that he lefties supposedly acheived?
Who runs the government today?
