"I planted war and hate for the better part of 10 years and harvested violence," he added. "After being in prison two years, I understand that what I thought was normal was the farthest thing from being normal."
U.S. Soldier Who Killed 16 Afghans: 'I Became Callous To Them Even Being Human'
Reminds me of Chris Kyle and Eastwoods' "American Sniper", the movie shocked me so deeply.
A man who kills whom he thinks is an enemy is guided by God, some say.
It seems to be a good thing from the start and in terms of fighting spirit of an Army it is the best but what comes next?
I have too many examples of a peaceful life to stop existing for a man who returned from a campaign.
What is a Sacrifice for democracy?
Do you honestly believe the afghani invasion was a way to spread democracy?
Even if it was, what gives us the right to kill anyone in our perceived ideal political structure?

I doubt his not questioning authority was the problem.
False. He is in prison for murdering Afghan civilians. It seems clear that his disregard for authority was his problem.

Then he must be justified!"My mind was consumed by war," Bales wrote late last year.
that's fine with me. I'm not worth it. Come on home, all of you. soldiers and sailors. build a double fence on our mex border. man the rifle towers every 1/4 mile of it, 24-7, and find and kick out the invaders who are already HERE. Stop worrying about some "maybe someday " enemy when you are not dealing with the "right here, right NOW " enemy.

There is no such thing as a right to kill - except in Islam. We do it in an attempt to defeat an enemy.

Old Testament = Eye for an eye as well... Don't be so quick to just submit that only Islam grants a right to kill every culture has substantial subjective differences on who or what is entitled to kill and who or what isn't. For instance, we might view abortion as a legal right to women, which I do not, meanwhile orthodox Islam might view it as murder.
Ummm what is eye for an eye, and have you ever heard of the inquisition or the witch trials?Neither judaism or christianity claim a right to kill.

Have you noticed that those things don't happen any longer in any religion other than Islam? You may be talking about old history but I'm talking about today.
And if you kept reading...
Matthew 5:38-42 "38“You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’h 39But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. 40And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. 41 If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. 42 Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you."
Seems that clarifies the point.
You are conflating the actions of man with the teachings of Jesus. Someone can go on a shooting spree in a movie theater but that doesn't mean the law condones it.
Seriously what the hell is your point here. Old Testament clearly states god gave people the right to kill homosexuals and extract revenge in an equal manner, thus you kill my brother I can kill you...
Please I don't need bible verses to try to disprove the point that Christianity has killed more people probably then anything else in the history of the world besides disease
