WASHINGTON, May 30 (Reuters) - U.S. police have shot and killed 385 people during the first five months of this year, a rate of more than two a day, the Washington Post reported on Saturday.
The victims ranged in age from 16 to 83. More than 80 percent were armed with potentially lethal objects, mostly guns. Ninety-two victims were identified as mentally ill.
The Post's analysis also indicates the daily death toll for 2015 is close to 2.6 as of Friday. At that pace, police will have shot and killed nearly 1,000 people by the end of the year, the paper said.

I'm scared as hell. How did it get this bad? When have they turned into bad characters? And why?! Do the police ever evaluate whether any of those killings are avoidable? or preventable? And what can we do to change the situation? Because the situation is really horrible!
Unless you attack police officers with weapons, resist arrest, or the like stop being scared, your fear is irrational paranoia
All police killings are avoidable, by the suspect.
Resisting arrest is immediate grounds for execution? Interesting concept.

You follow these two guidelines and I GUARANTEE you that a cop will not shoot you.

When in doubt, let's blame the victims of the problem instead of the actual problem.

You're scared as hell? Over 300 million people and you are scared as hell because about 1,000 per year or killed by the police?
Do you think they just shoot you for jaywalking? Minding your own business?
Frankly, the numbe surprises me not at all.
Look, if you don't want to get shot by the police then don't break the law or if they pull you over to question you even by mistake - do everything they say.

Resist arrest or the like, as in maybe making a sarcastic joke or ignoring an unlawful request, that tends to be the grounds for a police execution as well...
We have a right to life if we shut up and obey
I wouldn't say all police killings are avoidable, but the vast majority of them are and it is basically because of what you posted.
Don't resist arrest, at all. The time to fight the police is in court, not in the streets if they are in the wrong. The laws of physics don't really apply when it comes to police officers. If you apply a force, do an action (that can be viewed as threatening in any way or resisting in any way), they are legally able to apply a higher level of force against you. In fact, they are generally obligated to do so for the potential safety of the community in general.
Cops are not mind readers. They cannot tell who is a potential serious danger to them or others simply by looking at them, reading their thoughts. They have to go by actions the person does, and other facts that they have.
This is very good advice. You cannot win in the street so don't bother trying. Save it for a courthouse. However I would point out that resisting arrest is basically whatever the cop decides it is. Some may be reasonable about it and not tack on resisting because you flinched while being cuffed but others won't.
This is just plain bull**** for the vast majority of situations where someone has ended up dead for resisting arrest. It does not represent reality. What does happen is that the force is escalated by both sides. If you ignore a lawful request (which the person on the street should consider the vast majority of police requests to be lawful, at least until they can make it into a court room), then the police can at the very least detain you. The more force you use in your resistance to obeying that lawful request, the more force the police are legally authorized to use against you to get you to comply.

Perhaps your fear should be even more acute while driving/riding in a car - that results in far more death/injury than police encounters. If you are of median intelligence then half of the drivers, that you share the roadway with, are dumber than you are.

If you make a projection for 10 years then the police will kill more people than the number of soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan combined. 4,486 U.S. soldiers died in Iraq and 2,345 U.S. soldiers died in Afghanistan.
Yeah, but US soldiers killed more Afghanis and Iraqis that 100 years of police shootings. Not that that means anything either.
Yea say that to the victims who were shot because they were running away from the cops, or the 80 year old granny that almost died because she was giving her grandchild baked goods
Do you know the difference between killing an armed enemy and killing an unarmed fellow citizen?Yeah, but US soldiers killed more Afghanis and Iraqis that 100 years of police shootings. Not that that means anything either.
Few people have been shot running from cops relatively speaking. And Tennessee v Garner sets a precedent that this cannot be done without showing that the person is a believable threat. This is why that cop in the taser incident will almost certainly be prosecuted for murdering that suspect.

Most people know that you cannot enter most schools nowdays especially if you are not on the approved list, and you at least have to sign in. I don't care whose grandmother you are. And if you attempt to do so, the cop, if they have one, will stop you. In this case, she was told not to return to the school, according to the mother of the children, yet did and refused to comply when she was being arrested. 78 years old or not, you should not resist arrest.
Relative to what, in comparison to what? Imagine I decide I'm going to place you under citizens arrest for some law, you run away and I shoot you, that's only a small amount a year so it's ok. Just live with it, don't reform it "Very few relatively speaking" I find that a disgraceful argument, do you hold any value over humans life. Well considering your second part of your response is actually EXCUSING A YOUNG MALE POLICE OFFICER TO BEAT A 78 YEAR OLD WOMEN ALMOST TO DEATH BECAUSE SHE BROUGHT HER GRANDCHILDREN COOKIES shows me you really have no value for human life whatsoever.
