U.S. Olympic officials ban transgender women from women's events

Anybody know whether transgender males are banned from participating in men's events?

All that pretending like you can’t understand why females competing ain’t males doesn’t get the same attention as males competing ain’t females does is show that you are so deep into your ideology that you lie to urself and pretend that biology isn’t real.

I'll take this as your way of saying, "I've been triggered by your asking whether transgender males are banned from participating in men's events."

That you seem to think your long posting history on this topic isn’t known by many.

But let’s if you can actually admit reality. Can you explain why there isn’t the same concern over females competing in male sports as there is against males competing in female sports.

I know it is going to be painful for you but I think you can do it.

again .. there is a reason women use smaller basketballs, play for shorter minutes, tee off from shorter distances, why women have their own sport vs men ..... everyone knows it

the military has different standards too for pushups, planks and running .... why ?

if women want the same and equal - DO the same and equal

In the WNBA, each quarter lasts for 10 minutes, resulting in a total game time of 40 minutes. This is different from the NBA, where each quarter is 12 minutes long, totaling 48 minutes of game time. the WNBA uses a smaller basketball than the NBA. The WNBA ball is a size 6, with a circumference of 28.5 inches, while the NBA ball is a size 7, with a circumference of 29.5 inches. The WNBA ball also weighs less, at 20 ounces compared to the NBA ball's 22 ounces.

In most tennis tournaments, including Grand Slams, men play best-of-five sets while women play best-of-three sets

"Na huh" isnt debate. That doesnt refute what I wrote.

transwomen can play in men's sports if they want to play - fact is Leia Thompson would never have won anything competing in mens, and most of the transwomen track guys? they'd not have won in men's events

so go to the women's events and win there - men playing in women's sports NOBODY should support

transwomen are men pretending to be women - fact. They can be, I support them doing it if they want ... but they don't get to force me to lie about what it is and they don't get to transplant women in women's sports

Did you watch the video? ...because I was agreeing with you.

Now you are stating facts of the issue. You are still not countering my argument, post 85. I know the facts, they're public knowledge.

Btw, the bold reinforces exactly the argument I made. ;) And you dont even realize it.

it not invalidating anything

men are not women

men can take drugs, get surgeries, put on makeup and outfits to look very much like a woman .... they're not women. They never will be women

The DSM separates sex from gender. The former relates to the physical - the latter to the physcological.

Men / Women categories in sports were created when they meant the same thing - and were OBVIOUSLY based on the physical difference.

Why should it change? Records set by elite male (sex) atheletes far outpace those set by elite female (sex) athletes. That will never change.

See? You continue to describe trans people and your objections to them...not the sports focus. Again...you make my point for me. (y)

Sports is just an excuse to get in a seemingly legitimate argument against them without the personal focus and issues that you immediately (as a perfect example) went to.

Do ya'll really think you're hiding it? :D

its men playing in women's sports - you don't connect those dots ?

again, its men playing in women's sports

men can play in men's sports - Lia Thomas should have swam with men, he's a man, swim with men. Instead, he wanted to swim with women because his times would elevate him to the top of those he was competing against

Lia Thomas wouldn't have sniffed the NCAA championships swimming with other men.

Can you see now the difference ?

Yes it is the topic and I made a specific argument about that. I never claimed there was no difference in men/trans/women/anyone playing against each other in sports. That wasnt my argument.

I made an argument based on my opinion of why, all of a sudden, many on the right are speaking out against men in women's sports when they havent given a damn about women's sports before this, except to denigrate women when they requested equal pay for professional sports.

And I've stated my argument more than once and you've reinforced it more than once...each time you used my posts to air your feelings and descriptions of trans people. Finally, here you focus on comparisons between results in competitions...but again, that wasnt my argument. You had to be remined twice that you were focusing on individuals an not the issue. That validated my argument right there.

Sports is just an excuse [for the right] to get in a seemingly legitimate argument against them without the personal focus and issues that you immediately (as a perfect example) went to.

Do ya'll really think you're hiding it? [You didnt manage to at all.]

I'm not sure I am looking for anything else. You demonstrated my point, twice. I dont expect you to agree or say so, so that's fine. It's just a good illustration of my argument. Thank you.

who do you think funds the WNBA? men .. the NBA

who do you think funds all of women's sports in college? men's sports

men absolutely have supported women's sports over and over and over as have conservatives/GOP

its the liberals trying to destroy women's sports

LOL Different topic (it was just one example), but again...I think you are making my point. Your post sounds quite resentful. Funding doesnt mean the right/men have been happy about or supportive of those funds going to women's sports. And the many public objections to it make that obvious.

"Women "owe" men for their opportunities to play sports." That's kinda how your post sounds.

The US should have the Olympics stripped from them quite honestly.
For this? Where were you when East Germany was roiding up women competitors?

In college two sports make the revenue to cover the rest of the sport teams. Football and Men Basketball. Without them none of the other sports can be self-sustaining. This includes all female sports and male non-revenue sports.

That's pretty sexist of you.

Women are great at literally everything. Men are awesome as well. Transgender people also compete at very high levels.

It'd be great to just let humans play games with each other, and celebrate whomever wins, no matter their gender.
Do you have any idea why there are womens divisions in the first place? Think about it.

Gratuitous, unsupported, generalized, ad hom load of BS.

So, situation normal. It's all you have.

Absolutely. Those who claim to protect women from nasty right-wingers are in fact trying to author the demise of women's sports. Un-frigging-believable.

its unfair for women to compete against men - yes

Funding doesnt mean the right/men have been happy about or supportive of those funds going to women's sports. And the many public objections to it make that obvious.
words are bs .... actions matter and the actions of men for decades supporting women's sports are undeniable

how many women's sports programs are self sufficient? Nebraska Volleyball and ........... any others?

WNBA? $10-40 million a year losses propped up by the NBA right ?

truth - you're not wrong

however, basketball and baseball come very close ..... women's basketball? maybe UCONN/TEN/LSU/TX come close ... no softball teams do

fact remains any way you cut it - women's sports exist because of the men's sports on college levels

the NBA props up the WNBA

women's pro soccer/LPGA probably self sustain .... but overall men's sports dominate and always have

you tried to watch WNBA? its awful

Still making my point. And really, you havent argued what I actually posted...but you "proofed" it (yes I meant to spell it that way). You demonstrated it.

We're good...I found your posts very helpful. If you want to reply further, that's up to you but I think my original post was validated...it's just not the argument you expected me to make.

Another one. "Na huh" is not debate.

I see that understanding linearity is another one of your defeciencies. Pay attention:

You said, "I made an argument based on my opinion ....."

You didn't even attempt to give an example or state how you came to that opinion, which makes it a gratuitous, unsupported, generalized, ad hom load of BS.
