The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee has followed in the footsteps of the NCAA and barred transgender women from competing in women's sports to address concerns about competitive fairness. Of course, this only affects US athletes. Other countries will make their own decisions so long as they are in line with rules set forth by the IOC and the various sports federations that govern individual sports.

Good call. Why keep great quality people like Katie Ledecky from the Olympics.

If one cares about fairness in woman’s sports, this makes sense as generally speaking biological born males are stronger physically than biological born females. Call it a built-in advantage.

I'm ok with this.

It's about damn time. Hopefully other countries will follow the U.S. lead.

The whole point of the Olympics is about fairness for the competitors and a level playing field - metaphorically and literally. Men competing against women is NOT a level playing field.

Cool. Can MAGA stop being 24/7 miserable downers now?

Should I tell you that transgender guys (female to male) exist in equal numbers to transfems? I doubt you will like the results if they compete as their female birth sex.

Nah. That's irrelevant, really - a red herring.

I think that men should compete against men, and women should compete against women. (Except for chess and competition shooting, as neither sex has any advantage in those sports)

Imagine being a transgender para athlete. Never have so few caused so much hatred.

Why wouldn't people like it?

Why is this subject obssessively latched upon?

Does this really matter in the grand scheme of things? How important is this to our everyday lives, and if it is truly THAT important, why?

I just do not get it. The world is rife with issues and problems. This affects such a small minority of the world and its bearing on the overall totality of the issues at hand is so insignificant in the grand scheme of things that it is rediculous.

Because some of us have daughters and are married to biological women. We want them to have a fair shake.

One trans women bumps a whole lot of women down a notch.

You don’t trust them to advocate for themselves, so you feel the need to outlaw any league that’s inclusive to trans people?

Tell me how this idea works because it doesn't make any sense. Allowing transgender females to compete in sports isn't discriminating against cisgender women.

How can you not understand this. If Katie Ledecky is competing against and loses to two trans women, she won't be seeded for the Olympics from the USA. As well as another woman.

I don't trust progressives and their bullshit causes. If trans want and have their league, I'm fine.

Yes it is. You denying reality wont change that reality.
No matter how much that hurts your ideology.

These sorts of concerns should be managed at the league, franchise, venue, or team level instead of as a political item.
???.....
Men playing PRETEND "ARE NOT WOMEN" ! So they should have NEVER Been allowed to Play in Woman Sports !
They should just go join Co ed team and quit screwing up everything for people who are not liars !
