USOPC bans trans women from women's events
The USOPC has effectively barred transgender women from competing in women's sports, telling athletic federations they have an "obligation to comply" with an executive order previously issued by President Donald Trump.
The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee has followed in the footsteps of the NCAA and barred transgender women from competing in women's sports to address concerns about competitive fairness. Of course, this only affects US athletes. Other countries will make their own decisions so long as they are in line with rules set forth by the IOC and the various sports federations that govern individual sports.
