"Producing more hazardous waste than the five largest U.S. chemical companies combined, the U.S. Department of Defense has left its toxic legacy throughout the world in the form of depleted uranium, oil, jet fuel, pesticides, defoliants like Agent Orange and lead, among others."

"... the U.S., which has conducted more nuclear weapons tests than all other nations combined, is also responsible for the massive amount of radiation that continues to contaminate many islands in the Pacific Ocean. The Marshall Islands, where the U.S. dropped more than sixty nuclear weapons between 1946 and 1958, are a particularly notable example."

"One of the most recent testaments to the U.S. military's horrendous environmental record is Iraq. U.S. military action there has resulted in the desertification of 90 percent of Iraqi territory, crippling the country's agricultural industry and forcing it to import more than 80 percent of its food. The U.S.' use of depleted uranium in Iraq during the Gulf War also caused a massive environmental burden for Iraqis. In addition, the U.S. military's policy of using open-air burn pits to dispose of waste from the 2003 invasion has caused a surge in cancer among U.S. servicemen and Iraqi civilians alike."

Perhaps the Iraqi dictatorship shouldn’t have invaded its neighbors then. Duh.

And as far as pollution goes, the environment in much of Eastern Europe, Russia, and especially China STILL hasn’t recovering from decades of abuse at the hands of the far left governments.

We kicked Iraq out of Kuwait in 1991 - and left.
Then we went back for no good reason in 2003. Duh.

And this justifies our own pollution ..... how?

None of which changes the fact that sobbing about something which happened back in 91 is meaningless.

Squealing “but the US” while ignoring some of the worst offenders on the planet is pretty hypocritical.

?? Back in '91 ?? Military pollution goes on to this day.
Squealing “but the US” while ignoring some of the worst offenders on the planet is pretty hypocritical.
"but the US" is precisely the place we are in control of, and can actually do something about!
If anything is meaningless, it would be squealing about the rest of the worst offenders, whose actions we have no control of!

He specifically whined about US actions during the Gulf War.

Ah yes, the old “who cares about the rest of the world, what matters is condemning the US!” line.

Pass.

Yeah - where we've been firing depleted Uranium from A-10s, right up into the last decade.

Wrong. What matters is correcting the US - because we are the US - because we're responsible for whatever the US does!

Fail.

Boo ****ing hoo. If Saddam doesn’t invade his neighbors we don’t need to kick his ass.

Your desperate flailing is indeed a fail. Ignoring the far worse offenders while sniveling about the US only makes the whole thing meaningless.

We had already kicked his ass, in fact, right out of the neighbor he invaded! Did you sleep through that one Van Winkle?

The only desperate flailing going on here is your feeble justification for the ongoing poisoning Iraqis who had nothing whatsoever to do with Saddam's actions! And the only sniveling going on is your own "Whaaaaa - whaaaa (snivel - snivel) Saddam was mean back in '91, so we should kill every living thing in his country! Whaaa - whaaaa"

And he sobbed about us doing it. Duh.

Again, boo ****ing hoo. Maybe Saddam shouldn’t have invaded his neighbor if he didn’t want to face the consequences.

It’s always hilarious watching the frantic squirming and squealing those on the left do to try and condemn the US 😂

An actual patriot would take responsibility for what their country is still doing wrong.

Not squeal about what some other country did wrong decades ago.

Different wars, remember? For different purposes.

Daddy Bush kicked Saddam out of Kuwait, and hit his special forces as a bonus.
Kiddy Bush kicked Saddam out of Iraq, but then failed utterly to establish a peaceful state there.

There should be a lesson for all great powers. Have a war aim. And when it's done, leave.

Wait, are you telling me that using paper straws and taking 5 minutes showers won't solve climate change 🥺

Yes, that seems to be an accurate conclusion.

Elizabeth War-On said US militarism could be greener when it kills people and blows stuff up:

"THE MILITARY IS THE LARGEST SINGLE USER OF FOSSIL FUELS. ELIZABETH WARREN WANTS TO CHANGE THAT":

"We don't have to choose between a green military and an effective one," Warren wrote in a Medium post outlining the Defense Climate Resiliency and Readiness Act.
