100 years ago flying to the moon would be science fiction 50 years ago using drones to destroy bombers 5000 miles away using sim cards would have been science fiction.

Russia is occupying quite a bit of land in Ukraine with boots on the ground. Know what they do not occupy? Places they do not have boots on the ground.

Oh, and the attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki could not have happened without the Battle of TInian. A one week battle involving over 40,000 Marines taking the island away from 10,000 Japanese defenders. At the cost of almost 300 Americans, and 6,000 Japanese lives.

Interesting you bring up two cases where bombs were dropped, and completely ignore the land battle that was required in order to provide the runway that those bombers took off from.
