Twitter Files Part 6 reveals FBI's ties to tech giant: 'As if it were a subsidiary'

seems a few of you need to read the first amendment

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press;
~~

what does that mean? -that the FBI (Congress/government) can't dictate what to take down
ALSO
It means it cannot coordinate to use the proxy entity of Twitter to suppress speech ,Courts have ruled as such
When any of this happens, be sure to let us know.

I bet we will see this dead horse beaten even over Christmas.
there is a lot to unpack. most of it is just  bias, or TOS, which as everyone says (even though social media acts like the public square) is a private platform decision. But when the FBI coordinates/instructs that plaform to censor "disinformation" -it's a government abridgement of free speech
in a significant number of instances, the agency allegedly demanded that Twitter crack down on election ‘misinformation,’ Taibbi noted.
a government body aggressively exerting pressure on Twitter to moderate certain content. As late as November 2022, the FBI’s San Francisco branch reached out in an email, addressed “Hello Twitter Contacts,” to flag accounts that could violate internal terms of service.

agency’s National Election Command Post sent the San Francisco field office a list of 25 accounts that it believed “may warrant additional action.” NECP expressed concerns that the accounts were engaging in misinformation about the upcoming midterm election on November 8.

Twitter
obliged some warnings, taking various disciplinary steps against many of the accounts. Seven were permanently deplatformed, one was temporarily locked out for spam behaviors, and nine had tweets bounced for “civic misinformation policy violations,” according to Taibbi’s files.

Other Twitter document dumps from Taibbi and independent journalist Bari Weiss have unearthed damning details about high profile censorship cases, such as that of the Hunter Biden breakthrough and former president Trump’s banning.

blah-blah-blah-whatever.gif

I mean seriously? Am I wrong? Will you still be posting this dead horse even over Christmas? I mean, I do have better things to do with my life, so there is a good chance I won't notice what you will posting over Christmas. Life, and all that.

When any of this happens, be sure to let us know.
so you can bury your head in the sand again? FBI has an ongoing 80 agents! year round dictating / coordinating/requesting
Twitter to take down tweet. This is the government. This is the government using Twitter to censor "disinformation" by proxie.
The FBI are the arbiter, and use Twitter to do so.

Yep, after 2016, we weren't gonna let that shit happen again.

That's what was going on, not some bizarre CT where Dark Brandon takes control of the universe.

since you are Canadian i wouldn't get too upset about gross violations of free speech by the FBI-
you can ignore and go on with your life, like you ignore it now

Well, when you get evidence of that, be sure to present it.

All I've seen are half-baked CTs with nothing to back them up.

stunning. but not unexpected. FBI and Twitter are symbiotic...damn the fist amendment!
How about that year round "National Election Command Post -can you say "fascist?"
Taibbi wrapped up his thread by telling his followers, "The takeaway: what most people think of as the "deep state" is really a tangled collaboration of state agencies, private contractors, and (sometimes state-funded) NGOs. The lines become so blurred as to be meaningless."

"Instead of chasing child sex predators or terrorists, the FBI has agents — lots of them — analyzing and mass-flagging social media posts. Not as part of any criminal investigation, but as a permanent, end-in-itself surveillance operation. People should not be okay with this," Taibbi added.
I have no problem with this

who is we? The FBI. The FBI was acting to take down what THEY CLAIMED was disinformation - not criminal speech, not incitements
-just what they felt wasn't accurate. They are determining what content is allowed, which isn't. Then they act on their determination
by flagging and sending the request to Twitter. On a permanent Office basis =Ministry of Truth..who acts on their behalf

Which is why you need to read the first i handily posted here for you all. Governement cant abridge speech even by proxie

Im not in a cheerful mood watching the Bill of Rights being shredded, but TY, and MC to you as well

The USA. Did you really not understand? I find that hard to believe.

The FBI is charged with protecting the US from national security threats. The involvement of the Russians in multiple disinformation campaigns that threaten our nation and our free and fair elections are certainly valid reasons for monitoring social media. You seem to want us to become helpless and weak in every post you make. Why is that?

As he is Canadian, I would expect him wanting suppression of speech. That's what the Canadian government practices. Even though he's currently denying it in this U.S. case.

Yup, make it personal, and make it lame. Really mature.

Ask them if they'd support "free speech" if foreign actors worked to get the Democrat elected. I tried. Crickets and deflections.

Since when is the Hunter laptop a national security threat? Can't explain that away. Suppression of Hunter laptop was political, not national security.

It IS hard to beleive we;ve devolved into a fascist state where government and Big Tech control speech and call what they dont want published "disinformation".. It's an Orweillian horror show right before your eyes,

It's basic leagal principles, backed b the evidence on internal communications between the FBI and Twitters truthiness squad

When it comes from Rudy, a man who has spent months with FSB agents and has taken $500,000 from the Russians it becomes a threat yes. You are another who thinks we should be weak and helpless and let Putin have his way with us. It is disgusting behavior. We need to vigorously fight foreign interference especially from a power as hostile to us as Russia. They are our mortal enemy and you need to quit them.

The Hunter laptop was in possession of the FBI. What they warned about were hacked copies.

You don't think foreign interference in an election is a national security threat? Really? Why do you hate America?

When "Nothingburger" makes it into a real dictionary (meaning not that garbage heap known as dictionary.com) "the twitter files" should appear in the definition.

No, it was an attempt to secure our elections. You can call it whatever you want. What it was is quite clear.

No, it was the posting of an anonymous internet person. An unsupported posting, I might add.
