Twitter bans President Trump permanently (1 Viewer)

I am really bothered that so many people think the media is telling them the truth. Not embelishing things in favor of some, and not omitimg good deeds of othets, to effectively control the way people thing.

I used to laugh at Rush Limbaugh's phrase "mind numbed robots," and just took it as a slur, but damn.... It's reality! I just didn't see it before.
Who do you turn to for the truth, Rush Limbaugh?! OAN?! There is no perfect news organization, but in contrast the constant lies of Trump and the overt brainwashing of Limbaugh ditto-heads, the MSM are saints.

Not anymore it seems.

Google has suspended "free speech" social network Parler from its Play Store over its failure to remove "egregious content". Parler styles itself as "unbiased" social media and has proved popular with people banned from Twitter. But Google said the app had failed to remove posts inciting violence.

You can access parler the way I do, via their website.. parler.com

Twitter is not a content company, it's a social media company that markets its users to advertisers. Their concerns are simply page views, user demographics, and ad impressions. That is it, that is their business model. They don't "handle facts". They do however reject products that risk their bottom line.
So trust Big Tech to do the right thing, not abuse their power and stay apolitical? In fact they can now determine who gets elected to public office and who stays in office.
Past leftists have always been suspicious of big business but now, because the bias helps them, they embrace it. This is really short term thinking.

The Google web sites are also altering history in often small but important ways. Seen several examples in the past but yesterday, as a small example, a site said Orwell's 1984 was to warn of Nazism when, of course, it was all about the threats of Communism., free thought and free speech.

Small things all but ultimately a distortion of history to a generation that relies largely on Google for information.

How exactly did google alter this website? Which one?

There is absolutely no requirement that anything on the internet be apolitical.

None of this relates to what I posted.

After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence.

The trend in companies refusing to do business with those that they object? Areyou suggesting that the Trump campaign is entitled to do business with Campaign Monitor? (That’s the email provider for the campaign)
My concern is the control of information by a rather small group of very powerful people. I suppose many may not see an opportunity for abuse here but I believe there is.

The consolidation of big business by destroying small businesses is also a big concern. Amazon, Walmart etc. are amassing billions daily while small shops are being shut down.

The trend is observable and perhaps inevitable if enough people support big tech and big business and ignore the regular folks.

So discussion forums should not censor posts by deleting them?

Where are the original incitements of violence? Or are you now in the situation where you believe everything, as intended, that Big Tech tells you?

PayPal Shopify drop Trump

Now imagine if Amazon dropped Trump - the heads exploding would be astounding

The day after Christmas, Donald Trump tweeted a familiar theme with an ominous new twist: He suggested that the “Rigged & Stolen” 2020 presidential election, as he called it, could be considered “an act of war, and fight to the death.”

Attributing his call for “war” to hypothetical Democrats was just Trump’s latest use of a tactic known as stochastic terrorism, a method by which the instigator provokes random extremist violence beneath the guise of plausible deniability. In the two months since his loss to President-elect Joe Biden, Trump has escalated his campaign of incitement, one that national security experts warn will lead to rising political violence. Those concerns have run especially high in recent days as Trump has rallied his most fervent supporters to Washington, DC, for his effort to torpedo the certification of Biden’s win by Congress.

Since mid-December, Trump has repeatedly called for his supporters to descend on Washington: “Statistically impossible to have lost the 2020 Election,” he tweeted. “Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!” The election was “the biggest SCAM in our nation’s history,” he said in another tweet, adding: “Never give up. See everyone in D.C. on January 6th.”

I get it. But it's fetting pretty frightening, that the people are being lied to and believe it.
Yeah you are being lied to.
The funny part is decades and decades of private free market solutions and every ****ing time it goes against you guys in a way you don't like it..you produce these arguments.

Every time. Your world of hypocrisy needs to end.

ntifa
Yes, it is an unregulated private company which controls most of the information we receive, as do a handful other big tech companies. They can censor whomever they want (and do), omit stores, alter them, filter them and all at their own discretion. They can do whatever they want and guide the political direction of the more easily influenced people.

However they not only control your opinions, they control the past as well. They can change historical events or eliminate them them from memory or alter history.

Your opinions will no longer be your own and your 'private company' defense underlines you misconceptions.

Terms of service..again everytime people don't go do your bidding you turn on your free market ideas because now it's unfair.

Which once proves you folks are nothing but ****ing frauds.

Regulations you liberal. Lol..

The very idea you people have any voice in out government is an insult to society

Too hyperbolic by far but if politicians are banned for hyperbole there'd be few left in office. And despite what big tech and the MSM say there was evidence of wrongdoing. We have seen videos and heard the testimony of witnesses, though perhaps not on the MSM.

Trump has suffered the politically craziness of the Democrats since he took office, and in fact well before. He had the hierarchy of the FBI and CIA working against him as well the left controlled media and Congress while also establishing a great foreign policy record, returning manufacturing to the US and host of domestic policies which have helped America. I cannot think of any other person who could have survived this constant onslaught and still came out of it by just calling it 'war', for indeed it was. These people were trying to take down a duly elected US President for no reason whatsoever.

None of that is out of the norm for politicians but this one is funnier.

I'm one of those who feel the election was crooked and has to be investigate. Am prepared to be proven wrong but an investigation is essential when millions of Americans, Democrats and Republicans, feel it was rigged. That suspicion has to be resolved.

Tech companies are no different than any other companies in that their responsibilities are to their investors, employees and customers.

Their only bias is towards revenue growth.

Talk radio is entirely right wing, and has over 50 million listeners a week. It's also controlled by just a handful of large media companies. So why are you not worried about them?

Yes, the concept is not unknown. However this is pretty much a monopoly now and, like Reagan did with AT&T, should be broken up. Problem is that no one is as powerful as they are, and also lack the guts. Trump tried and it cost him.

So in your view tech companies should be broken up, but talk radio should not?
