Trust God and call it a day? I saw that bumper sticker this morning. I think it's stupid. How about trust yourself instead?

To me each strap signaled that IF there was a god....he hated me and all children.

In the 7 decades since NOTHING has changed. The god of Christians is a sick pervert.

Now lets talk about priests and their sexual proclivities.....

There is no 'moral high ground' for the sect of papists. Men who dress up as women and rape children does not make a religion. It makes for a moral dark ages.

There's an irony here, as what enables us to trust is also where religious belief comes from in the brain. Our ability to see intentionality, that we can predict another's actions and know what they're thinking, is described as Theory of Mind, and its function has been located in the brain. Autistic people are lacking in this ability, and much of what we've discovered is a result of autism research.

Trust would not be possible without the ability to predict another person's actions (or thoughts.) This ability appears unique to humans. It's also because of ToM that humans think animistically. Seeing spirits in everything, including inanimate objects, is a result of the ability to see intentionality. Humans do things for reasons, so the rain has a reason to fall, the volcano is angry, the sun is happy, etc. Eventually, this evolved to the anthropomorphized gods that still exist.

Pure trust from a pure animistic mind. Trust in the gods. Irony.

Based on your post/s there are 9 million misguided so-called "Christians" who believe it is "logical" for people to "Absolutely be killed", simply for "thinking" personal thoughts that don't align with the Jehovah Witness Organization's teachings/preachings/beliefs/thoughts.
 
Wrong...I've said all along it is obeying Jehovah and His commands...He has the right to kill anyone who does not obey Him...

Unfortunately, there are some who will never believe......in Jesus' time, he healed many sick, fed many starving, told great stories which the people loved, yet there were those who had him killed through unbelief, hatred and envy. They saw and heard of these miracles yet still wanted him dead......it's a sad reality, but there are some who will never believe, no matter what.
