Trust God and call it a day? I saw that bumper sticker this morning. I think it's stupid. How about trust yourself instead?

Have you seen the movie Don't Look Up? What they believe isn't the problem, it's when they put bumper stickers on their vehicles hoping to get me to believe in their invisible entity and to me, that's what the bumper sticker implies. Just put your trust and problems in my invisible entities hands and everything will be ok. No it won't.

I feel as if this website is full of fake christians. How can you claim to be a Christian and support a convicted felon, a convicted sexual offender and a convicted fraud not to mention the crimes his win got him out of and he had squashed. Good Christians my ass.

In the end, the Bible is a series of stories meant to teach us about god.

What really sucks is that it teaches us to be evil.

In that book, no matter WHICH of the 4,783 versions you read, you will find that god tells his faithful follower to go and kill his own son as a test of the man's love of god.

Now, right there we learn god is a ****ing prick with NO respect for human life!

But...at the least minute he tells the man "Oh just April fool....you don't have to kill your child ha, ha, ha, ha."

That's a total prick. Even if he DOES exist I refuse to follow an insane monster that plays nasty games like that.


Then there's good old Job. Tortured and imprisoned for most of his life on a BET with god's sworn enemy, Satan! If that's how he treats his most faithful - **** him

Speak for yourself. I have no need for god/s which cannot even be demonstrated. That might appeal to children or the emotionally/intellectually fragile. But not for the rational minded.

Religious beliefs, yes, but statistically based findings are also beliefs as applied to the individual. Medical and psychological diagnoses are prime examples. We certainly have the technology to answer many questions, but until the CAT scan is complete, the diagnosis is a belief.

There's nothing wrong with beliefs per se, as long as those beliefs are based on facts. If the facts are that someone has lied, my belief is that I won't believe him anymore. And because of the fact that I'm thirsty, I believe I'll have another beer.
