As an adult do you not know the difference between right and wrong? Does a book have to tell you? What's with this belief in an all powerful imaginary being that is invisible? To my knowledge not a person has proved this entity even exists yet I'm told my many I should ask for forgiveness from this invisible entity and then worship said entity?
Sorry, but that sounds crazy to me even after ten years of catholic school.
Let me correct you, most things fall beyond my control but I can control myself and what I do.You can trust yourself all you want, all day long.
But many things fall beyond your control.
I read this, I'm not reading your other posts because I can imagine they all say the same.
I know because God didn't do a dang thing, I did it. I made my mind up to stop. I moved with that intention and guess what, I made sure it worked. No god's involved. Are you folks so feeble you can't live without your god crutch? God did this, Satan did that, bullshit. Take responsibility for your actions and stop putting shit in the hands of some invisible entity.
Are you afraid?
You're anticipating you wouldn't have any answer?
If you're brave enough - read my previous posts.
You should read them..............since they address your claim................head-on!
HOW DO YOU KNOW GOD WASN'T BEHIND ALL THOSE?
can you please wrap your head around the logic of my questions, which are all about the Abrahamic God.
Let me correct you, most things fall beyond my control but I can control myself and what I do.
I read the Bible, asked god for help..........
Let me just adjust your thinking here, and set it straight.
How did you get into drugs in the first place?
You weren't able to control yourself!
You said it yourself. You turned into a "low-life junkie!"
How did you even manage to get to the point of being a junkie...............if you can control yourself?
Obviously - you've lost control!
Lol - all these years, you were not able to control yourself from drugs! You became a junkie!
But lo and behold..............you were able to, after you claim to have done this:
Let me correct you, most things fall beyond my control but I can control myself and what I do.
You aren't challenging my beliefs, though.Because beliefs are not facts. Do you agree with that statement? I believed my ex wife would never cheat on me. Now's she's my ex for a reason, can you guess the reason nota? Let's be honest, folks like you don't like your beliefs challenged.

And I'm not going to defend them either. I'm not asking you to defend your non-belief; I accept that you are a non-believer and respect your position, although I don't share it.
Well said. But again, if you know that beliefs aren't facts, why isn't this enough for you? What more do you want? The conversion of others? If you've already decided for yourself that belief in God is nonsense, that is going to have to be enough...as it is for everybody, who is also going to decide for him or herself.
If your hope is for conversion of believers into non-believers, I'd suggest that your own certainty really is going to have to be enough. You aren't going to be able to change mine.
Well said.
I've often wondered if that's why non-believers are so overly involved in these types of discussions.
What is it they hope to achieve?
If one already knows they don't believe, what's in it for them when it comes to what the faithful believe?
'Agree to disagree' is more accurate...Funny, when a person does decide it's all bullshit, you folks don't accept our opinion and yet you expect us to accept yours.

The bank gave me credit. They gave me credit for paying all my bills on time over decades. The bank gave me a loan based on this credit rating, which I take credit for myself, yes.Kinda like a guy who walked all the way to the bank, to try to get a loan so he can pay debts............
..........and after he was given a loan...........
........he goes on to take all the credit for himself.
Yes, I did it on my own. I didn't fill out the checks in all caps, though. Nice touch.I WAS IN DEBT TO MY EYEBALLS, AND I PAID IT ALL IN FULL! I DID IT ON MY OWN!"
Why do we have patrolmen? When was the last time you saw the wind, yet everyone knows it's real.As an adult do you not know the difference between right and wrong? Does a book have to tell you? The Christian is still alive with GOD. The atheist has been given a further opportunity to be saved. So, if he lets a Christian die in a car accident while the atheist in the other car survives, that is God's way?
Conversion of others, yes, exactly. You slipped the response to are beliefs facts and instead gave me some bull crap response, so, let me ask again. Are beliefs facts? A heavier than air machine that can fly, no way everyone said. Man on the moon, insane they said and you know why people said such things? Beliefs that turned out not to be factual at all.You aren't challenging my beliefs, though.
And I'm not going to defend them either. I'm not asking you to defend your non-belief; I accept that you are a non-believer and respect your position, although I don't share it.

Afraid, nope, just not responding so you might want to save all that finger motion. You wrote like eight things, I've responded to two to tell you you are wasting your time trying to prove the error of my ways. Are you afraid?
You're anticipating you wouldn't have any answer?

So tell me, why is it only Christians that seem to feel your god's magic? Does a Hindu, a muslim? Why do we have patrolmen? When was the last time you saw the wind, yet everyone knows it's real.
Is that true?So tell me, why is it only Christians that seem to feel your god's magic? Does a Hindu, a muslim?
Seriously, talk about finding an angle for your justification, it's just too way out there. The Christian is still alive with GOD. The atheist has been given a further opportunity to be saved.
The only ridiculous angle I note is yours. You are lost in left field and seem willing to remain there no matter the logic presented. Perhaps you feel it more logical that the Christian be saved and the Atheist died went to hell. Not very generous of you towards a lost soul. Anyone who goes to heaven will be more than happy to remain there... And anyone who ends up in hell will not be happy.Seriously, talk about finding an angle for your justification, it's just too way out there.

I didn't read all your other posts directed at me, just the two I responded to. It's more like who are you kidding with the all powerful invisible entity that loves us all as we kill each other story? You've responded to two.....but you failed to answer the most important question being thrown at you.
You can't address the other posts that directly give a logical response to your whining.
Whom are you kidding?
I've never told you this, so why are you posting to me? And why do you want to discuss the difference between opinions, beliefs, and facts? Wander in the weeds by yourself.Conversion of others, yes, exactly. You slipped the response to are beliefs facts and instead gave me some bull crap response, so, let me ask again. Are beliefs facts? A heavier than air machine that can fly, no way everyone said. Man on the moon, insane they said and you know why people said such things? Beliefs that turned out not to be factual at all.
My own certainty is enough for me and yet many on here tell me I'm wrong about my beliefs but cannot prove I'm wrong.
