Some people have allowed themselves to be taken in by right wing propaganda. It's a peer pressure thing. They find others who agree with them and that reinforcement makes it seem OK. It's similar to the "Two Wrongs Make A Right" mentality. They know something is wrong, but if they see others doing it and seemingly getting away with it, they are able to justify doing the same thing.

For some people, wrong is OK as long as somebody else did it first. To them, that 'makes doing wrong OK.'

I say you have to stand up for what is right, even when it is uncomfortable to do so.

If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything.

For mcga types, their insecurity with LBGTQ, coupled with their xenophobia over immigrants are strong motivators to look the other way at wrongdoing.

Agreed. Biden was too old to run again. So was Trump though. The adjudication of Biden's age in comparison to Trump was stacked against Biden by a corporate media that wanted tax cuts and ratings. We should have an age limit on the presidency. People have argued that not all folks age the same, I agree but that isn't the issue. The issue with aging is there can be a dramatic drop at any moment. This is something we need to give more thought to as polarization has made succession of government a dangerous bet for a lot of Americans.

Our Founding Fathers had no clue there would be members of Congress making decades long careers out of serving. Had they known, I do believe, that Congress and or the Presidency would become, in essence, seemingly, an assisted living community that they would have put term limits and maximum age limits in place.
