Trump's layoffs at the FAA reportedly included jobs DIRECTLY related to safety inspectors and airport operations. (1 Viewer)

Aren't pretty much all jobs at least nominally related to some sort of function? That's like saying a job layoff affected jobs that pay people salaries/wages/fees.

Anyone who didn't see this the moment they heard "DOGE and "FAA" in the same sentence was a ****ing moron, and everyone that knew it but chose to defend DOGE is a scum of the Earth liar.

What a breathtaking insight.

So then what's the problem with this decision? Was it based on careful analysis of the firings, or just a knee-jerk reaction?

🤣🤣🤣🤣

Of course. If the janitors don't empty the trash cans then the safety people won't have any place to throw their empty coffee cups.

So why is the thing listed in your OP necessarily bad?

The FAA is a perfect example of a government bureaucracy that absolutely has no reason for existing.

Do you realize that we (some of us anyways) are being bamboozled? Trump's handler wants to replace Verizon with Starlink. What could be the sneakiest way to accomplish that?
Think?
If you don't agree, perhaps you should sent Edolf your retirement funds straight away. He does need the money, the power and anything in between.

Why? You're a big time VZ stockholder?

Sorry, you won't get Trump out of this screw up. Him and Elon will own this one completely. Of all the areas he can cut expenses, the FAA is not one to **** around with. Trump shoots from the hip constantly missing his targets. He doesn't think things through. He should consider that while he may be flying in AF1, they still depend on ATC and the FAA to keep them safe in the air.

No matter how ignorant, corrupt or just plain stupid Trump manages to be, his loyal MAGAs will twist into pretzels in order to make excuses.

There’s a simple formula that will help explain all of this:

Trump/Musk fire essential FAA personnel + Major problems arise at airports = It’s Biden’s fault.

This formula can also be modified to work with any number of Trump screw ups. 😉
