Trump's Fascist "Real ID" Will Put You in a DHS Database with Your Facial Recognition Scan, Bad News for Protesters

Trump’s goal is to be able to arrest anyone who protests during his administration.

I'm in no way a defender of Trump, but he has nothing to do with Real ID enforcement date. This was announced back in 2022 by the DHS.

There's a big difference between telling someone that the money they take from the federal government has strings attached to it and telling someone they cannot have access to their own money.

The first thing is something that has been happening since government started giving money away. The second thing is something that the liberals have been working on.

Thanks, I knew I had heard a while ago it was going to be implemented in 2025 but couldn't remember when it was announced.

Trump has taken steps to prevent that possibility.

Anyway, I challenge you to present cases of Trump preventing people from having access to their own money, since that's your claim.
 
How long will it be before any American can be stopped at any time and demanded to produce papers and even then be subject to arrest if the police decide you look a bit shifty?

"the RFID chip within [a Real ID/Enhanced Drivers Licence] has a unique ID number linked to a secure Department of Homeland Security (DHS) database..."
A Real ID and an Enhanced Drivers License are essentially the same thing, both issued by the Department of Homeland Security.

That central database can then be built out to link to any information the DHS decides, like facial recognition scans, financial records, and medical records.

It is inevitable that national Real ID will eventually include high-resolution, facial recognition scans, so detailed that you can be identified on the street in real time by street cameras. The software is already facial recognition compatible.

The Papers Please Identity Project writes:

“Digital Image Access” (DIA) component of [Real ID] software suite… is already designed to be compatible with automated facial recognition software. The logical next step, of course, would be to add some sort of “hash” or “template” representing each photo to the corresponding SPEXS pointer record, to make it easier to carry out national photo matching and search.”

This should be terrifying to anyone who does not trust Trump, and believes he would put his political opponents in jail if he could.

Just as recently April 27, 2025, The Atlantic Magazine warned Americans that "The Trump administration is pooling data on Americans."


There is push-back. Refuse Real ID is one of the main groups opposing, with the campaign "Stop Real ID" (Below)



As for action in state legislatures, The Portland Press Herald writes in "Maine lawmakers want state to stop issuing Real ID cards":

"Rep. Laurel Libby said her bill to end the Real ID program in Maine is one of several being submitted nationwide in hopes of convincing President-elect Donald Trump and Congress to end the controversial requirement."

In Congress Senators like Bernie Sanders and Ron Wyden were recently making noise about opposing facial recognition, but have fallen strangely silent.

A total lack of historical knowledge.

As a matter of economic necessity In 1933 ALL banks were closed. This denied access of their depositors to their money. It was temporary but it did happen.

Under the new “Emergency Banking Act” the federal government took a short time to review all the banks and those in shape to reopen did so.

I oppose any of these types of things, although I think that Trump has been misled into supporting this stupidity. As many conservatives are saying in videos about this issue, this must be opposed at all costs.

Having said that, if Kamala were elected, we'd all be forced to get onboard with CBDC(Central Bank digital currency), which leftist political parties and billionaire oligarchs are promoting across the western world(at the behest of the UN, WEF, OSF, EU) so that they can monitor your spending and freeze your bank account if you protest against their globalist agenda, just like Trudeau did to people who supported the trucker protests during his draconian Covid lockdowns.
