There was some pushback but not nearly enough. The media has totally normalized this moron to the point that he can say almost anything and they'll just nod along.
 
Futures were up slightly. He spoke and the market is down. He is talking to people who actually know the facts. CNBC ain't Fox. His straight up lies about the jobs reports are almost comical if they weren't so damaging. He seems hell bent on undermining the economy.
 
In before the Trumpist response, which I predict will consist of whataboutism, deflections to Biden, and “TDS!” posts.

As with everything else, Trump is being allowed to do what he does, no matter how bad. The country would rather be entertained than anything else. If you can stand back for a second and look at this ridiculous situation we have put ourselves in, it's hard to believe it couldn't've happened just 10 years ago.

He still doesn't understand that the 600 billion from the EU is a complete fantasy. The EU can't really promise anything like that, it's more a "maybe, if the private market wants to invest, we are for sure not going to stand in their way". But that is all it is. No money is coming directly into his pocket as he imagines it.

Plus no one is going to invest in the US..too big a risk, especially if people have to put down a 20k bond to even enter the country...yes that is a new proposal from the US State Department..

That is true. It is very rare that a DP poster can actually defend Trump without the use of "TDS" or offering a "whataboutism."

I am almost inclined to give a poster a like for a legitimate attempt to explain Trump without using "TDS" or a "whataboutism"..... I doubt I will be giving out many likes...
