Trump's Big Announcement (1 Viewer)

UK - like other countries - has also been hit with 25% tariffs on steel and aluminium exports to the US as well as a 25% tariff on cars and car parts.
From the British side, they specifically want to reduce tariffs on British steel and cars.
From the US side, they want something on pharmaceuticals and technology - which in total account for the majority of goods exports.
Andrew Griffith, the shadow business and trade secretary, says a US-UK deal "would be welcome and another Brexit benefit".

Another Brexit benefit? ROFLMAO

We've taken back the Panama Canal? Bought Greenland?

Brexit is a catastrophe. You're not kidding anyone.
No, Brexit is not a catastrophe. No 'kidding' required. I voted to leave the EU - one of the best things I ever did. Why do you think it's any of your business btw?

The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) has estimated that Brexit will make the UK economy 4% smaller in the long term. Studies also suggest that UK goods exports are 30% lower than they would have been if the UK had remained in the single market and customs union. Some believe Brexit has contributed to higher inflation and a weaker pound, making imports more expensive.

No going to respond the why it's my business stupidity.

It is reasonable to say Brexit harmed foreign investment in UK, trade with the UK, UK business costs are well up, devastated certain areas of labor like transpiration, and travel took a nose dive. Right wing wealth was all for it, everyone else picked up the tab.

I think it will have something to do with the ME. He seemed to be linking his visit there with the announcement.

You're on the right track I suspect.

It's also notable this comes on the heels of Netanyahu's announced plans for Gaza.

I think there's an announcement coming about Gaza, possibly a development deal.

I'm thinking it's along those lines .

Trade deal with Britain? Somehow Britain will be accepting hormone riddled American beef and agricultural products without lowering our food standards. (That'll be an interesting watch) in return our largely foreign owned car industry will be able to sell Rolls Royces and stuff to the USA.
