I've quit trying to figure out what goes on in Trump's head, or more accurately what doesn't go on.
But how deranged/delusional is this guy that he makes up a story so bizarre, that when he tells it, it makes himself look a complete pervert and/or moron? Most of his lies are intended to make him look better than he is. This one makes him look even dumber than we thought he was. If that's possible.

One more addition to the long list of things that would end the political career of anyone else, but doesn't cause his disciples to bat an eye.

Trump is an avatar candidate. They're not voting for Trump; they're voting for his energy. They're also voting for Vance, Alito, Thomas, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, Coney Barrett, Thomas, a GOP Senate, a GOP House, weaponization of the DOJ to go after domestic enemies, detention centers for brown people, and just so we're clear, if we're so naive as to believe that regular, ordinary dissidents who were born and raised here won't get swept up and placed into custody, I suggest you disabuse yourself of that notion now.

I didn't get it wrong. I don't even think you're a bad person, @Fletch. I don't think you're necessarily aware that this is what you're voting for, but you are voting for these things. My baseline assumption is that most MAGA voters - in their minds - are voting for an America they once knew but believe has been lost, thrown away by irresponsible progressivism. I get that, but the truth is always more nuanced.

I have distanced myself from the MAGA friends I know and my MAGA family members.
