Obama, Clinton, and partisan politics should have nothing to do with this. Besides, in my view, the best charitable giving is that done anonymously, without any fanfare.

Just as an aside, the Obamas and Clintons aren't nearly as rich as the Trumps profess to be. Personally, from politicians, I'm far more impressed with the Romneys who have given hundreds of $millions to their church and other charities and done so quietly.

Let's just be thankful that some people who can afford to support this effort are doing so.

And as an aside, I'd be interested in whether or not some of these same people gave similarly to the Katrina relief efforts.
