I am pleased to report that the U.S. has made substantial progress in our trade talks with China on important structural issues including intellectual property protection, technology transfer, agriculture, services, currency, and many other issues. As a result of these very......

....productive talks, I will be delaying the U.S. increase in tariffs now scheduled for March 1. Assuming both sides make additional progress, we will be planning a Summit for President Xi and myself, at Mar-a-Lago, to conclude an agreement. A very good weekend for U.S. & China!

Trump on Twitter: "I am pleased to report that the U.S. has made substantial progress in our trade talks with China on important structural issues including intellectual property protection, technology transfer, agriculture, services, currency, and many other issues. This is good news. A historic deal could very likely be around the corner.

Bucky, tell us about the 7.5 billion dollars Trump has spent to offset the massive losses experienced by farmers due to Trump's tariffs.

Did Trump spend that? Or Congress?

Mycroft, I have long had you on ignore because I have found no value in anything you have posted. In the recent past there has been no documentation supporting your positions. I have rarely, if ever, found that you have submitted a documented and/or convincing argument. Ever.

In that regard, while I have received notification of your direct response to my post in this thread I have no ****ing idea what you said. None. Further, based on your posting history, I am most confident that I haven't missed jack ****.

Unfortunate but the new agreement will include a $30 billion, yes billion for u.s agricultural purchases.

Speaking of documentation: Got any for your claim of $7.5 billion cost to farmers? Thanks in advance.

Unfortunate in that your man Trump's tarrifs are costing Americans billions. I have two relatives who farm and are losing their butts because of Trump's tarrifs. That is a good thing because ...

They weren't doing that great before the tariffs. I know many dairy farmers in Wisconsin that were committing suicide due to Canada's monopoly.

Risky, tell us about the HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS lost due to trade deals unfair to the US...for DECADES.

About time we had a POTUS with the BALLS and international business experience to CONFRONT IT....and NOW IS THE PERFECT TIME, when the US economy is booming....

If your product cost 1M to produce, and you wanted to sell it for 5M, but only got 3M for it, you know that you didn't lose 2M, right?

Could there have been hundreds of billions extra in the economy? Sure. That, however, does not mean that those companies didn't make the profits they did, now does it?
