Yes CHRISTMAS.... you never know, Maybe the Pledge of allegiance Next ! :D
Trump had a amazing speech 4 SURE!

Full Version If you wanna watch.

thanks. GO TRUMP!

I wasn't aware Christmas was ever gone. Let me check my calendar here. Yep, there it is, December 25th last year. And the year before that. It continues in that vein for a couple thousand years. And I'd be willing to bet a pretty large sum of money that there will be a Christmas on December 25th of this year too.

On another note, I did watch a bit of the first video, and Trump is an absolutely terrible public speaker. The first minute of that video is just a mess. I love how he randomly drops common core in there, despite the fact that it has absolutely nothing to do with what he's talking about.

The whole video, starting with walking up on stage with a bible and a picture of his confirmation, all the way to "bringing back" something that was never gone, he was pandering to weak and ignorant minds. Just Trump being Trump.

Maybe if he's elected he'll bring back Labor Day and Thanksgiving as well.

Maybe the Pledge of allegiance Next !

You do realize that FORCING all school children to recite the Pledge is about as close to Communism/Fascism as one can get don't you?

It's brainwashing on the highest of orders and absolutely disturbing on so many levels.

You hadn't noticed the politically correct assault on Christmas? You didn't notice the Happy Holiday cards crowding out the old fashioned Christmas Card?

I didn't. The "War on Christmas" is a complete fabrication.

I always just abbreviate this as XMAS.

Everyone knows what you are saying, and it's faster to type, like OMG or IMO.

Such a silly speech.

Now do not get me wrong. I do not think Trump has the making of an even fairly good President. But to think that the speech be silly is probably misunderstanding, how important it is as a symptom of the building backlash against the New-Bigots. That group has done a number of things that this country was founded to stop and prevent reoccurring. The First Amendment was written to protect against persecution of citizens for religious reasons and has been gutted in that respect without building a new consensus nor even a majority to change the Amendment. That is always a very dangerous method and is the same reason for the predicament the EU has put itself or better, its elite has put it in. Of course, it seems easier to do things by stealth and slippage with confusing complexity and Newspeak. But it risks creating societal forces of anger and instability that can wipe it away.

If you didn't, how would you know it's a fabrication?

Can you give some examples as to how "war" has been waged on Christmas? Private companies deciding to make "Happy Holidays" cards isn't really a war and makes me wonder if you know what a war is. Have you noticed that Coke Zero has been crowding out the regular Coke on store shelves? It must be a war on Coke!

I haven't seen any brown-shirted gestapo smashing windows and bones in order to suppress Christmas.

Happy Holidays are fighting words?

Seriously?

Is someone stopping you from saying "Merry Christmas"? Is someone stopping you from buying religiously themed Christmas cards? Is there something from preventing you from buying "Merry Christmas" cards?

I usually say "Happy Holidays" in the holiday season. I say Merry Christmas in the days immediately surrounding Christmas? Does that make me a soldier in the war against Christmas.

Good gracious.

There isn't a war on Christmas. Its a war on liberty in which Christmas is becoming a casualty. All things Christian and Christmas related have been purged from state run institutions. As the state grows, liberty shrinks--not that left-libertarians care about liberty, but that's a different topic. The larger the role of the state, the smaller the role or tolerance for religion. That's just a fact. People call it a war on Christmas simply because they have misidentified the real culprit; which is, of course, the ever growing leviathan we call the state.

I don't know.....

Mrs. Betty Bowers' Front Line Report on the 2006 War on Christmas

Seems pretty convincing to me!:lamo

Agreed, there is no war on Christmas. In a country where there are multiple religions, all with different ways of experessing their holiday, "Happy Holidays" is simply a catch all companies use to avoid offending every other religion if they use one of the many holiday expressions. But with Christians, everything is always about them, so companies are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

LOL. Ignoring the hyperbole, the word "Christmas" had long ago lost it's Christian connotation among the general population. It had become a de facto National Holiday akin the Thanksgiving, yet with presents - A capitalistic expressing of thanks, and giving. But the pushback focused on the "Christ" in Christmas, and that is a nasty thing to liberal/progressives.

If Christmas was solely about the birth of Christ, who the heck is Santa Claus? But that is ignored, and Christ must not appear in a word defining a National Holiday. So it becomes Happy Holidays.

July 4th is a happy holiday in the US, isn't it? Labor Day as well. So why must Christmas become Happy Holidays then? (Forget the fact it is only one day, so the plural makes no sense as well)

If one is capable of being honest, the answer is clear.

Why can't we end this horrible, bloody civil war!? Bodies of elves line the streets and I saw the decapitated remains of a reindeer that took an RPG. So much persecution.

LOL. Purging Christian influence from government is tantamount to waging war on Christianity. I really don't think you know what liberty means. Liberty is not the ability to use the government to force your religion on others. Poor, poor persecuted Christians. Maybe Europe can give you asylum from this horrible war we've been waging on you.

At no point in this post did you mention a single thing anyone is doing to wage a "war" on Christmas. Do better.

Seriously, if you have the names of people who are using violence against Christians, let us know, they should be prosecuted.

Clearly you didn't read or you failed to comprehend what I said. It wasn't that long and it wasn't that complicated. So try again and see if you get it the second time through...

Then you don't read the trendy liberal stuff. Why, I even saw articles on it in the NY times and Washington Post.

The state has to remain religion neutral, there is no place for Christianity, or any other stupid fairy tale, in government. Don't agree, ok then I suggest we start having Islam as the religion of the state. Change the Dollar to say in Ahalla we trust. Put up Sharia Laws where the 10 commandments are now. Happy now, or would that too be a war on Christianity? Yea, thought so, the bottom line is Christians think everything is about them. Maybe you guys should start another crusade ... I mean it's a war right?
