A depression you say?

Former President Trump thinks so if things don’t change.

———

Former President Donald Trump has warned that America’s economy is on track for a bigger disaster than a recession, with his remarks coming shortly before government statistics showed GDP printing negative for the second consecutive quarter, which is a rule-of-thumb definition for a recession.

“Where we’re going now could be a very bad place,” Trump said at a rally in Arizona last week. “We got to get this act in order, we have to get this country going, or we’re going to have a serious problem.”

The former president singled out the collapse in Americans’ real wages, a historically depressed labor force participation rate, and the Democrat push for the Green New Deal that he said would crush economic growth.

“Not recession. Recession’s a nice word. We’re going to have a much bigger problem than recession. We’ll have a depression,” the former president said.

Six times bankrupt, pathologic liar and profound moron, Trump, says what?

Well, when I want economic advice, I always go to the guy who has shown he knows jack shit about the economy...

No wait, that is you. I tend to go to more reputable sources, who think that with events of the last couple years, the economy is pretty volatile and could react just about any way, and it is hard to predict.

The moron said the exact same thing when he was campaigning in 2020, warning against electing Biden. Well, it all went the opposite way when Joe took over. We still have the most jobs created and lowest unemployment rate. GDP is only one factor in the economy. There is only so much room for growth. Now we're settling down a bit. No worries here.

Are we sure Trump even knows what a depression is? Or the causes of one?

"One good aspect of the Obama depression is that it will separate the winners from the losers. If you can make it now, you deserve it!"

"Dow hits 28,000 - FIRST TIME EVER, HIGHEST EVER! Gee, Pelosi & Schitt have a good idea, “lets Impeach the President.” If something like that ever happened, it would lead to the biggest FALL in Market History. It’s called a Depression, not a Recession! So much for 401-K’s & Jobs!"

Not sure I trust the economic prediction powers of a guy who started a mortgage business in 2006.

Trump does not know what he is talking about. He is incompetent to the nth degree. Here is a video with his OWN supporters admitting he is incompetent.

You guys laugh at Trump and yet voted for a guy who told you if you get the vaccine you won't get Covid! Your joker is faaaaar worse!

take notice following Reagan/Bush ,Bush/Quale, Bush/Cheney and Trump/Pence economic chaos
raises its' ugly head. The Bush name is prominent.

Never vote yes for the GOP ever again if we expect economic growth, job growth, job security and a better quality of life for many many many decades. Just think many decades without insurrection, sedition, home loan scams, no more bailouts, no more supply side wreckanomics and no more attacking women's rights.

He's just trying to scare his base, seems it's working on the OP.
No, he is working on the left, and it is working! All this time and some just do not get Trump! Genius I tell you!!
